And now she’s in Time magazine with 99 other influential people in 2024 as a “Titan” …I mean really? SMH.

Doesn’t walk floors, doesn’t take questions, and avoided any impromptu meetings of clients like the plaque at TIAA Tomorrow. Shes not interested plays offense by limiting her internal exposure. Newsletter? Maybe for my birdcage that’s about it.

Ewww. Yeah CEOs should communicate with associates on the regular both in person (I don’t mean town halls) and via email or instant messaging, without a stupid personalized newsletter communication.

On the plus side at least it is Opt In versus Opt Out. Saves y’all from having to click unsubscribe. ;)

@5ydv+1rVMuHdA Agree 100%. Roger was the best other than maybe the 80’s. He would always talk to associates. Managers would say have your elevator speech ready for Roger if you see him. I would guess now a days T would take up the whole 2 minutes talking about herself.

T never walks the floors. I take that back, I mean she did that one time which is why they added badge tracking and then later on the 2.4 went to 3 days all because she was in the wrong building in Texas. Like no one works in an office during construction/renovations or restacking.

Bottom line is no one wants to go to a town hall anymore. Roger’s town halls were fun and informative and always packed! But now most are forced to or feel forced to. i still can’t get over what she said at the last town hall… I and so many others lost any and all respect for her. That statement could be her downfall - and seeing how things work that would probably lead to a CEO position at a much larger company.

All of the praises for T have blown my mind from the very beginning. She is branding herself and not TIAA. I don’t typically attend the All Hands meetings in person due to scheduling constraints so I have yet to see her in person even though I work in Biggs 2. Roger use to walk the floors and talk to employees which I thought was so amazing.

Has anyone seen how much our executive leadership team has expanded under her while the company is laying off and cutting expenses everywhere else?

The board would be wise to consider hiring a CEO instead of a TikTok influencer. Get back to being a real business and not a socially ingratiating entity.

Her plan is to turn TIAA into JP Morgan while self promotion for her next gig which will be a television personality. The board should really consider bringing back Roger Ferguson. Current CEO is like an absent parent - sends a card once in a while to cover all those missed opportunities.

A lot of people here are miserable and I don’t understand why you all choose to remain miserable. Good grief.

Her communications/PR handlers are either being bullied into promoting her at every turn or have the worst instincts of all time.

What about her aspirations to run a podcast with “coffee and t” ?

I don't get why employees have to sign up to receive communication from the CEO. They should just put it out on the Intranet.

You’ve got to be joking. Sign up for her newsletter give me a break. If she craves to be an influencer and social activist she needs to go find a pulpit and stop pretending to be a CEO. Can’t wait to hear how this TIAA Tomorrow event in Cali goes. Agenda was awful.
