I work in CS&S, the largest org at Schwab. Apparently all exceptions in the ‘Other’ category, not related to distance from the office/commute time, are being denied.
My leader told me it was due to “fairness” so Rahul wouldn’t have to approve some and deny others. I’m sorry, but fairness is not giving everyone the same thing. Fairness is giving everyone what they need. Just more backwards thinking from upper management.
If you’re in CS&S and have an exception request out there not related to distance/commute (i.e. child care, elder care, personal preference, etc.), prepare for it to be denied. I wouldn’t be surprised at if this was the case firmwide.
And they expect me to just come back to the office and act like this never happened? What a joke…
