Biden postponing vax mandate to Jan 4

Biden postponing vax mandate for companies to Jan 4… do you think IBM will follow suit so that IBMers that do not want to get vaccinated can at least cash their 401K match?

@6bit,

Says the young fool stuck using cr-p like agile and ansible lol
good grief

BTW, most companies will need to know if you're M or F.
Hope that's not a problem for you.

JFC who cares anymore. Just love and let live. Hopefully all you 55+ m0r0ns which no skills except ppt get bagged soon. This thread and all these old timers are exactly why ibm is going down the drain.

@5oye+1dEgCp3W is it not possible to "demonize" people just because they happen to be complete m-r-ns? Just asking. (Maybe not "just asking." ...They really are M-R-N-C knuckle draggers who seem determined to make the virus win.) Here's who you need to go after, old friend (just like Canadian born senator Ted did)... you need to slam old Big Bird. Big Bird got vaccinated. Because he has a brain. A big, yellow brain. Let me guess, @5oye+1dEgCp3W (with a grey and not at all yellow brain) you are still waiting for your first shot? You'll have a sore wing when you get it and be better for it.
We need to face facts here, @5oye+1dEgCp3W ... vaccines work... Horse dewormer doesn't do a thing for Covid-19. There is no hate in pointing out massive, massive neurosis when it is so clearly present. In fact, it's very much a kind of love.

Peace out and get the shot y'all.

You’re so full of hate. Demonizing a group of people simply because that’s what you’re told to think. Do you ever look at data or facts?

Two things are needed to destroy:

  1. Ignorance
  2. Intolerance

You displayed both of them extremely well. Using only emotions fed to you, and not knowing any factual information to back it up.

so you have the vac and yet your afraid of people who do not. What about people who have had covid and now have natural immunity? Are you afraid of them too?

you better start looking a the data coming from countries with high vac rates and actually report their data of the number of cases among the vax, unlike the US agencies that do not report.

and for us knuckle draggers I will say you should get your head out of jb's bxtt

if YOU are not vaccinated, stay the heck away from my workspace. YOU are a menace to my health and to the health of our communities. state after state...country after country, it's the same: we have a pandemic of YOU. YOU are the ones plugging up the ICUs. YOU are the ones causing delays in other important surgeries.

if you don't want to do the civilized thing (and get vaccinated) fine.... just go somewhere else. how hard is that? Go be a menace to public health somewhere else. The unvaccinated sw-n- are prolonging this horror unnecessarily.

all of the l--ng Arron Rogers and m-r-n-c Joe Rogans aren't changing the truth...which is: vaccines are what will get us out of this mess.

There are plenty of good jobs for you knuckle draggers elsewhere. In the meantime, stop hampering our recovery.

LOL Co2 levels for double masking. COVID-19 spreads through droplets. There a literally tens of studies on both sides clearly showing that masking decreases rates of COVID-19 in clinical and non-clinical studies. Sure I'll understand the vaccine argument but masks definitely work when worn properly. N95 masks were a regular when I worked with concrete to prevent dust and other particles from entering my lungs. I'd propose a study for anti-maskers to enter a room filled with people with COVID-19 and ask them whether they'd wear an N95 mask or go maskless, I bet you'd pick mask every time. Although, if no one really has COVID-19 you really don't need it. I'm tired of democrats wearing their masks when it's clearly not needed and alt-conservatives act like masks don't work. Grow up.

Two people I know recently got their boosters and soon caught covid.
I got 1 jab already, but will refuse to get the booster.
If they release me I will gladly take the unemployment.

IBM is not going to change The 5th circuit is way out of phase with the Supreme Court. Just look at the Maine ruling last week via the high court on the vaccine. Then you have this 1905 case that set the standard on vaccines. Public health wins every time

Federal court of appeals issues temporary halt to Biden vaccine mandate.

A federal court issued Texas a temporary victory in its lawsuit against the Biden administration’s coronavirus vaccine mandate issuing a stay on the controversial federal government regulation in Texas.

It's also come out now that the head of HR took into high consideration that some vaccinated employees feel "uncomfortable" around those who are not vaccinated. So we're accommodating people who live with unreasonable fear. To those people - if you are vaccinated, what exactly IS your fear? If you're worried about catching Covid cooties from an unvaxxed coworker, then clearly you yourself know the facts - that the vaccines aren't very effective. On the flip side - if we're ALL vaxxed, since you live in fear about the vaccines not being effective, you're still going to carry your unreasonable fear. It's people like you who ruin things for all of us. You probably also fell for the "two masks are better than one" nonsense, despite your rising blood CO2 levels. You should probably just stay home and hide in your safe space. We can send you some crayons.

So yup...the FAQ was updated and AK and his merry band of HR n-a-z-i-s are keeping with the status quo, hiding behind the broad wording from the Brandon Administration.

Also, anyone else notice that they replaced the word "exemption" with "accommodation?" Interesting.

The people running this company s-u-c-k.

I believe if you are still on unpaid leave on December 15th, then your 401k will be matched.

So the Vaccine mandate was pushed out a month because "science" (aka politics). The OSHA requirements state that employees who WFH full time do not have to be vaccinated. Biden's Labor Secretary came out on CNN stating "oh there's not mandate, people can opt to get tested weekly."

The messages are over the place. Why? Because of incompetent leadership.

AK will of course ignore ALL of this and just stick to his now-outdated mandate because "science" (aka politics) - which as we ALL can agree on here - is designed to 1) rid IBM of employees without spending a dime and 2) bring all existing employees back into an office and force these fully vaccinated employees to wear masks because "science" (aka politics) even while many other companies are allowing at least a hybrid model. Why? Because IBM leadership is apparently just as inept as the leaders in DC. PEople will down vote this, but those are the same people who will want you to believe them over your lying eyes. Oh and bonus - if you still work for IBM after all of this, you'll get the privilege of doing more work with less, and if performance drops, it wont be the bean counters at Armonk who will take the blame.

I heard the 401k still gets matched as you’re technically on an unpaid leave of absence but still employed…is that right?

@vel+1dEgCp3W said "get vaxxed or get ready to be axed "

You used this already the other day, and even the moderator thought it was so s-t-u-p-i-d that they removed it.

Along with the new rules for companies with 100 or more employees, the Biden
administration said it will extend the deadline for a similar but stricter set of rules for
federal contractors until Jan. 4.

The federal contractor rules don’t include a regular Covid testing option for
employees.

Workers for those companies, which include Boeing, American Airlines, IBM and
smaller contractors like food service firms, have to ensure workers are vaccinated or
receive exemptions for religious or medical reasons.

Those rules have faced opposition from some workers and some labor unions.

So no way Big Bleu changes any of their already announced dates based on the finally released OSHA policy from the brass knuckle adorned iron fist of the Biden regime.

Businesses have until after the holidays to implement Biden Covid vaccine mandate --

Jan 4 is the deadline under the new OSHA mandate. Does the Dec 8 deadline for federal contractors still stand, or does the new mandate override the old one?

I don't know that will be the primary reason, but you can bet it will be a "bonus" and the decision makers are aware of it.

Mostly they won't want to backtrack on the communications. They've already put the threats and infrastructure in place and won't want to revisit.

Nope. IBM will stick with the Dec 8 deadline because they want to not pay the 401K match to the unvaccinated that will end up to be let go anyway.

I’d assume that IBM will follow whatever Biden declares so that they feel most protected from the onslaught of lawsuits coming. But it is IBM, and they do what they do.
