Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

At 45, I work harder than ever, but I feel more at risk than ever

I am 45+ years old and here I can only expect to be laid off. I’m still safe, but I know I’m in the target group if there are cuts.
There is no such information, but it would be very interesting for me to know in the overall percentage of the workforce, how many people in my age were in this company 10 or more years ago, and how many are there now.

They don't care about experience or knowledge, if you think that you are deluding yourself.

@5tsg+1b0xiYz3 I am in the same boat as you. I have been with the company a long time and was told last year my job is going to India. I am just waiting for them to announce it.

I hate to tell you but the older admins are not safe, I am 57 and been with the company for over 25 years and my job is going to India. I have a wealth of knowledge but that doesn't matter at all to this company they can save big bucks by outsourcing our jobs !

This company is arrogant and vile. They only care about $$ which is fine as they are a for profit business but they masquerade as some kind of benevolent entity. There is clear age bias and now they are woke so if you do not fit their socially “progressive” agenda you will be marginalized. I’m so happy to be close enough to retirement that I am caring less each day. For younger employees - beware. There are far more decent organizations out there!

The older admins are safe. They need our knowledge. It's the young part timers and newbies. The longer you've been there the better the package.
