Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

Furlough and working visas (H1B)

Confirmed from another friend of mine–the vast of majority of H1Bs got stayed, although there might be a couple H1Bs got furloughed as well, because if H1B got furloughed they do not meet the income requirement anymore per USCIS and there will some immigration and legal issues. Sabre apparently does not want to deal with the immigration issues at all. Executives just want to cut the payroll cost and do not care who got let go, so Americans and permanent residents got furloughed first.

Well it almost sounds like a joke to type it, but realistically John Cornyn would say there is a critical need for increased guest workers to perform the work of furloughed workers.

The nice thing about science is that it doesn't care about anybody's opinions. Data is data. even if you don't like the numbers. Maybe ask Forbes to run the analysis for Southlake only.

Even by the standard of Forbes, this is a terrible piece:

The reality is that John Cornyn has absolutely zero interest in this issue.
