Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Trump opening business up by May 1st

Trump opening business's backup May the 1st. Are we ready for this? Covid19 has caused significant job loss and economic issues. Over 20 million jobs lost this far. But virus is still climbing in unreal numbers. Lowes will be the first to restore business as usual on May 1st I would assume. This sh–show is only going to get worse. People what do we do here?

Yeah let's trust the commander in chief who literally just suggested injecting disinfectant to k–l the virus. I trust that man's scientific judgment about when it's safe to open things back up.

Truth is that will k–l people. If you care about profits more than people you're heartless. If you hold that position and don't even stand to significantly benefit financially then you're also an id–t.

Menards here in Indiana had a bigger day Sunday this week than they had on Black Friday. $500,000 plus. The shutdown ain’t. Let’s get back to work.

Does it really matter? The people who have been staying at home will probably realize they need to continue to what ever precautions they need to. The millions of people who flocked into the businesses that have been open might as well be going to work. We’re they at any less risk of exposure herding through Lowe’s, HD, Walmart, etc...

I hope so that way everyone else can go back to work instead of coming in to Lowe’s to hang out.

And when some small business owner, on the brink of bankruptcy, opens back up, only to find the too have coronavirus, but it was worth the risk to start making money again; what will be said then?

People are going to put others lives in danger only for their gain.

It will happen.

It should be opened back Up. The people most at risk for this need to be the ones taking the precautions of staying home. People need to get back to work, the vacation is over. Think of this, if everyone is working and there is more businesses open it means less people with nothing else to do wandering around the store.

Only problem is if the state you live and work in has a republican governor they will probably follow what trump said. Lowes as a company will follow what trump said. Most greedy corporations are majority Republicans.

Trump has zero say in what the governors decide. He can say anything he wants to the press or on twitter (like encouraging people to 'liberate' themselves from democratic governors) but it has zero real world effect. The ideal that his power is 'absolute' is more of a laugh than his border wall when he thought it was a good idea to use eminent domain against angry conservatives with guns who suddenly hate him.
