I absolutely agree, @5fpu. I hope you don’t mind me copying your post into a new thread.

Central scheduling offices simply don’t work. And we all know what the area “in-home services” managers do—absolutely nothing and a total waste of payroll. There’s too many moving parts and the people that staff these offices usually have no clue when it comes to understanding installation services and are farther from the customer. Lowe’s has gone back and forth for years on different positions in the stores and I too predict that this will eventually be put back in the stores in some capacity. Remember— They can’t blame the stores if there’s a problem as it is set up right now, and we know when it comes to Lowe’s it’s ALWAYS the store’s fault—never corporate’s or the area guys and girls.

Lowes is trying to get out of the install business because with the new system there is nothing but trouble on a good no centralized doesn’t know what they’re doing and eventually this will fail and like Home Depot they’ll go right back to the install office in a few years

We were told about ISO going away about a month ago but they have not given us more info. They already moved our dm to lumber. What happens to us coordinators?

Didn't think there were any store install personnel still around . Ours went away years ago. Good to great...what a farce. This is smoke and mirrors ladies and gents. Sears 2.0 doomed to fail. Book it.

Well, if that's true, we may finally get rid of our former DMIS, who became a DS on the floor, then a head cashier, and is now back as the IS Coordinator.
