Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

When can we dump our seed… shares?

Saw they vested in the Fidelity account. Yet sell
Option is not available and the grants haven’t been taxed..

Couple of days?

This system and it’s inability to function as promised/stated - yet another example of GLOBALFOUNDRIES lying or being misleading to its employees. Add it to the list of lies the leadership and management have told us. This really is bu-----t.

@5bpj You are right but a slight correction - once you are granted RSU you pay ordinary income tax on the award when it’s granted and pay long- term capital gains tax on the gain when you sell.

Now that I sold $1300 worth of shares it will be considered as a part of the yearly income and taxed ata the normal rat which will now in the end give me $700 😂 as some will justify that they gave me the 🥜 atleast but really GF

This company is just disappointing on every level. The only solution is to leave and find employment elsewhere. I’ll be hard pressed to $51.79 an hour though.. May have to take a cut and go elsewhere..

The roll out of this was also rushed and terrible back in October. They gave us like less then a week to look it over, setup accounts and decide…The German employees couldn’t even create accounts because they did have us tax id. Mo--nic oversite for a global company.

Really makes who think who is making these decisions and leading the finance based teams. Gives you pause if they can be trusted to do right things or will fumble it because they are mo--ns with no real experience

I sold the Seed shares and did not enroll in the next offering period.

Still trying to figure how to sell the ESPP shares. Anyone know how or if this available to do yet?

GlobalFoundries gave us a worthless grant.. $1300 after all is said and done.. Typical disappointing waste of f’ing time..

Your "50 shares" end up being 29 shares after they take 21 shares for "taxes"
F*ck GF.

What an absolute amateur hour…. But what do you expect from globalfoundries it is all the flunkies and castaways from everywhere else ….. makes you question if they really know what they are doing or just copying what they saw others do
