Comparatively to Honeywell's layoff message board, Raytheon sounds like a cake walk. Go read Honeywell's posted messages, it's nuclear, fire & brimstone.
Realizing layoff uncertainty is always a stressful event, I don't mean to disrespect.

@4vmi My current employer, Honeywell are having layoffs for the remainder of Q2, deep cuts of 35% -50% are expected rumors for Aerospace, mostly affects commercial aviation.
Is it safe to make the jump to Raytheon Tucson Optics group? Design?

In Indianapolis very few new hires. Generally contractors, some extentions, but few conversions. Some well placed experienced managers are transferring to other Raytheon sites out of state.

They're not laying people off at Pratt and Collins right now. It's just furlough and that also covers Raytheon Corporate

Even though divisions of pre-merger rtn is not affected this time, one can easily imagine that next year they will be asked to "pony up" (or whatever that slang is).

they said only pratt and collins people for now. Commercial aviation is at zero right now.

Predicted this months ago while everyone was still giddy about the merger. Now, they have a pandemic to blame for their layoffs
