@9mtt

The fact you do the usual petty swipe at me being let go (I resigned to join Chevron, but youll childishly say Im making that up as you DO work for Oxy), knowing this board will not allow me to prove you wrong, shows your mentality. So Ill use your own argument against you and assume you are one of the people let go by Chevron and snapped up by Oxy, just like the 4 engineers in Midcon that I know of personally, and now pretend to be something at Oxy in Houston and based out of the Mallet plant in north Texas or the Ops Engineer out in Pecos.

As for facts, which you seem quite happy to avoid and have no shame in your hypocrisy, Ill stick to Oxys track record of environmental disasters such as Piper Alpha, Petrolia, Maynas Carijano, Thunderball, 35R gas line explosion, North Dakota purchase and sale at $1billion loss, Tatweer petroleum, Libya, ALL south American calamities and their total lack of being able to retain ANY professional staff on any level. Chevron doesn't put environment or safety as low as Oxy does with their record.

Care to provide facts Oxy DOESNT hire people rejected from Chevron? No, you wouldn't would you? Nobody at Oxy stands by their own rules for other people. That's called integrity, which I know for a fact Oxy doesn’t have.

@4thn+1p0kPPhQ, recently let go by Oxy? Keep your head up. There are jobs out there. You might try to hide your sour attitude though.

Anyone can come here and hurl insults at a company. The interesting posts are the ones that back up their whining with examples proving their point. Do you have any? No, I’m no H.R., a boomer, or part of management, so don’t use those non-arguments.

Why would they? Most of the people who couldn’t hack it at CVX swallowed their self respect and went to Oxy. Chevron is also a real oil company and not interested in old Oxy run trash. Can’t put lipstick on Oxy and change what it is.

What do you mean non-existent Oxy Coc. Here is a link to the policy they implemented in 2020: https://oxylink.oxy.com/siteassets/documents/benefits-spd/oxy_change_in_control_severance_plan_spd_final.pdf

Funny how nobody on the CVX boards ever mentions Oxy, not even in passing

She wouldn’t be around to hear those jokes. It’ll be a bloodbath for Oxy if CVX took them, starting from the top.

this is 100% a sniff test to see if market analysts will punish them for "overspending" & going for one of the larger fish in the M&A pond. It’s not a coincidence that this was leaked the following day after XOM/PXD.

The OXY portfolio fits like a glove in CVX. The only saving grace for Oxy employees & our nonexistent CoC; is VH will do everything she can from selling because paying $1B for the APC breakup fee will be the butt of jokes.

Was the deal value plus debt too much for Chevron to handle? Probly a lot of assets and employees that Chevron didn’t want?

They mulled it over and moved on to pursue other smaller acquisitions.
