Tuesday May 18 the company will add $75 to your check for taking the "vaccine". You will no longer have to wear the mask if your city doesn't require it after being vaccinated.

This is discrimination and will cause issues within the work place. Yet again Walmart is trying to force their associates to make a personal decision just to make the company look good. Not just that but it’s embarrassing to let associates be unmasked if they are fully vaccinated but if they aren’t they have to still mask up. That’s just a lawsuit waiting to happen.
@2llk, it’s your decision but you should google MRNA vaccines; Pfizer and Moderna. The technology has been studied for almost 20 years now. For both vaccine makers, 3 phases of studies were completed. The first phase on animals. And the new CDC mask guidance is based on effectiveness of both vaccines in real world usage. Yes, both vaccines have proven they are effective in reducing viral load and therefore are doing their part to stop the spread. Your choice, and consult your doctor? Just know many who have been vaccinated are choosing to follow their previous safety net, masks indoors when mingling with those who may not choose to vaccinate.
Walmart is not forcing any employee to get the shot. The $75 is only for those wavering the decision, especially with the new CDC guidance. It is your decision and if you’ve already decided the vaccine is not for you, continue to wear your mask. I’ve been vaccinated but will continue to wear my mask at work. Why? Because since the early days of pandemic, especially since masks were available, no Covid. And I don’t trust the non vaccinated to wear their mask for me any longer. I am happily surprised however to see most still wearing. No reason to think you’re being singled out.

I feel like this is discrimination because I don't want to be a lab rat for an untried vaccine and isn't walmart suppose to be against discrimination? We don't know if 1 year, 5 years, 10 years all of the side effects from it could possibly be. We know that it doesn't keep you from getting the virus so what really is the point of taking a experimental vaccine. Animal tests with other coronavirus vaccines showed when they came into contact with a different coronavirus it ki---d them.
Also a slap in the face and insult to offer someone 75 dollars for an experimental vaccine. Put your money where your mouth is Walmart . 75 is pitiful but no money is worth it to me.
Dang down voted for saying I won’t get the vaccine. EVERYONE should have their own choice on weather they want it or don’t . No one should be forced to get the shot if they don’t want too. Frankly it’s no ones damn business if I had a shot or not.

Get a shot that we know doesn't keep you from getting the virus and they don't know if you get it if you can spread it, also since it was never tested on animals before going to human trials we don't know all of the side effects that it causes.... hmmmm
To vaccinate or not to vaccinate is and should be a personal decision that only YOU can make. Wearing a mask should be the same way. For Walmart to separate the associate by the whole mask thing is controlling.
If you county ordinance is mask are optional or mask are mandatory then why should Walmart be any different
Let's see, the vaccine does it not protect you from getting Covid? So walmart logic is associates can be in the store with customers not wearing mask (vaccinated or not) and you should feel protected by the vaccine but you shouldn't feel safe working with your fellow associates that are not vaccinated? Don't understand your logic Walmart. You just put everybody into to boats, vaccinated and unvaccinated, masked and unmasked. Might as well say some are clean and some are dirty.

Way to conquer and divide your Associates. Whether you agree with the vaccine or you don't agree with the vaccine it's a personal decision based on many different reasons. I guess some Associates can be bought are rewarded for $75 and some Associates cannot. But I guess now you'll be able to tell us apart since they threw the no mask in there too.
