Anyone hearing anymore “thou shall return or else!” threats? I’m beginning to think management has woke to idea it’s just not going to happen.
The days of rotting in a cube might finally be over.

Agree 100%, Fridays are a ghost town, You have time to get the work done because your not being bothered by useless meetings just to meet. An the d-mb WFH "Hey are you onsite I need a favor"
I am in the office every day and on Monday's and Friday's are a total waste of time. Nobody is here or answers their emails or teams messages. WFH is a total joke. Focus Friday's, LOL.
Return to office is just another way for companies to force people to quit so companies don't have to give out severance packages.
@1aqc+1rW5dD4y I wouldn't be surprised the big companies tend to copy each other. The job market su-ks, so they push whatever they want.
They’re going to crack down and push RTO hard FY25.
GM is looking bad because of all the remote work slackers. The plan is perfect, and is failing because with remote work.
4-days onsite was started almost a year ago.
3 days on site is a bargain if you think about those onsite 5 days a week since Covid-19
You get a 4 day weekend slackers :)
Badge scans is no joke Senior management is definitely getting employee coming onsite reports
Yes, I was told to be at the office 3 days a week. I was told management are looking at badge swipes and desk reservations.
A year ago, the discussion was you could be classified as remote if you were >100 miles from a Medtronic facility. TBD if leadership has changed its position.
What about those who are remote in states other than Minnesota who don’t live near a Medtronic office? Will they be penalized? Or is it just those of us who live close enough to a Medtronic office to actually work onsite?
A lot of companies are doing this. The company my friend works at stopped offering remote even if you were hired to be remote. They all need to go in 3 days per week.
And if you don't return to office, you will be RIF. Managing by fear. Sad to see.
