I retired in 2014. Never sorry I left. I knew it was over several years before when a TM said in a meeting, "if you dont like it here, there is the door. "

Why in the H E L L would anyone want to work in a cubicle in a cramped in office with a bunch of I D I O T S with people doing nothing but complaining and abusing you while not getting a pension nor a secure future is beyond my comprehension. All agree SF operations is no longer a career. If I was getting out of college nowadays, I would look for jobs that create value to the customer and the business and not be seen as an expense on the bean counters ledger sheet nor would I want to be involved in the corporate metrics ponzi scheme.

The 49’s own Rogers. They never even drafted him and he still gave them 4 playoff victories. He was standing on the side line finally waiting for his “shot.” He said the snowflakes hurt his game-another cancel culture win 😂😂😂😂

@5dun what kind of illiterate are you?
What are examples of demographics?
Demographic information examples include: age, race, ethnicity, gender, marital status, income, education, and employment.

Properly used in the context of that post.

I just hope and pray the new hires can read through their indoctrinated narratives. Their mission is NOT to make you more successful. Their mission is to keep their "players" and the rest is overhead, expense, sc-m, minions, kids, and children. They consider themselves better than. It's all a political power play. All I can say is keep your cards close and trust not a single one of them. They sure didn't rise through the ranks of TM and above by being honest and loyal to the people they work with. Also know at TM level and above many of them have serious issues with marriage, alcohol abuse, and dr-g abuse. These issues create anger and a hostile workplace environment. Comments are made to degrade, make you feel less than and are abusive. Just know inside your heart if you do not "fit in, a player, or a good ol boy" it's NOT you! You always should reserve the right to walk away with your chin held high. When or if you walk away, just know the problems you have are nothing compared to their lies, stealing, and cheating themselves, each other, and the customer.

@4she+1eRokgaX- so where do the SVP/OVP/VPO/VPA/AVP types figure in this? Again the tipsy demo or what would be the demo of his wife (the group has received the lion's share of affirmative action). I'll be looking at the directors, consultants and the board of directors. My bet is the tipsy demographic won't be lacking in numbers. The good ole boys always look out for their people. Oh and the next guy who says "his manager told him white males need not apply" either has a big $$$ lawsuit he can file or is a G.D. liar. My guess is the latter.

@4oza I agree, the top echelon of exec is still the good old boy's network, however, look at the demographics of the managers up through the directors and consultants, their demographic is very different and they are the ones feeding the top execs the game plan. Greed and ambition have no color or gender barriers.

@2cmx+1eRokgaX- executive is majority what demographic? Tipsy, Smithy, Forny, Harby? Take your complaints up with them aka YOUR good ole boys network. You sound like the low value incels who complain about so called "illegals," yet don't say diddly p-o about the people that hire them and sell you out. Again "YOUR demographic" the good ole boys.

can't believe State Farm doesn't sue and shut down this site

State Farm can say they are “hiring” 3400 people, but are there actually 3400 in the US that want to work for State Farm anymore??? Their ECR’s are dropping as fast as the full time employees.
State Farm no longer cares about work/life balance, they no longer care about providing service to their customers. The big draw for years was their pension plan which has been scraped. Their TM’s have no clue about handling claims, and they have no clue about handling remote employees.
I escaped last May, and my life is so much better. I admit that I stepped back form a decent amount of money, but I do not have OT, I get all Federal holidays off, there is no such thing as a “holiday worked” option because my new employer actually understands that talented people need more than just money. My boss thanks each of the staff everyday for their work, and my place of employment is a happy place to be.
My ignorant, bombastic, misogynistic, little pi-s ant of a TM forced me to retire, and it was a blessing.
State Farm pays my mortgage, and will do so until I die, while I go to work each day to make my household bill and play money. No more angry screaming customers, no more snarky bu-----t remarks, no more low ratings to justify the lack of raises.
I am sorry for anyone that still is drinking their Kool Aid ….

I think it's hilarious and proves what comes around goes around is totally correct and they will find out very soon. Everything that they support which appears to parallel the current administration will show upon their front door step. They will want their paycheck without work or quit, they will want them to pay for their college tuition, they will demand to be promoted based on race which doesn't "fit in" with the "fit in" crowd, and work ethic....well enough said. Do you really think "the entitled generation" is going to put up with the first unhappy insured or claimant without wanting a safe space? You raised 'em now let's see what happens with the number of entitlement mentality much higher than in the past. They will attempt to throw money at it but will find money will not be able to buy their production. Claims in in for a long treacherous ride. My forecast. Remember they have taken away more than they have given. A process environment IS NOT a learning environment. Indoctrination IS NOT an inclusive environment.

Injury CS here and agree with all the prior feedback. Poor management, as an insurance company you would think they would know how to mitigate their damage but are clearly lacking. I flat out told them in company review 6 months ago it was sh-t and I was quitting. Good luck finding anyone other than fellow employees that care. Management and vp's only care if it's making them more money. Quality is sh-t and not getting any better. Hope you don't have a claim with us cause they suck. No more field adjusters. Keep moving work onto employees to "keep up" or "help out" but nothing is actually changing to make a permanent difference. Patches are not working and I don't have enough fingers for this sinking ships holes. So I will take a year off and just do nothing rather than continue to deal with this corporation. The stress is no where near worth the pay.

SF is no longer a career. It is a manufacturing process job that requires no service nor analysis. It is merely a production job run by numbers and metrics. If you are looking for an emploers that values you as a person, look elsewhere. The first year or two, they will sell you on how much they care, push as much SF propaganda on you as they can, and force feed you their big lie. Then when all that wears off and they give you the raises you rightfully deserve, you get to see the real SF which is opposite of what you were introduced to.

It is no different than the military. How many veterans do you see that actually gained rank and made it a career? What percentage? Then think of those who made it a career by running lower rank out? SF is no different. The NCOs in the military are same.

Know their game before you sign up. Talk to the regular hard working person at lower ranks who got in when it was a career. They won't tell you the truth out of fear of retaliation. You will either learn to lie, cheat, and steal the system or you will be forced to move on. When I say lie, cheat, and steal I'm referring to an ability to be able to play in the sandbox while not believing in ethics, morality, nor fortitude for those are not part of the sandbox. They tell you it is but it is far from it.

Remember, no matter what they say they really don't care about you. It's all about them and their click in the sandbox. You are disposable. They never have and never will finish what they put on their plate because they never have been hungry and they don't consider it wasteful.

Trust and believe I know I can handle the farm. Its all about being cool with the section managers and vp’s. I have seen people with cr---y EPR’s get promoted so I can play the same game. Alot of people complain but if you have a side hussle or second job you control all the cards. If it dosent work out get your independent adjuster license or go work in the agency.

Whomever is considering the 3400 jobs.

  1. Its probably not true they will hire that many.
  2. If they do hire that many over half will not stay.
  3. The environment in claims is AWFUL! The team mangers verbally abuse their employees and run them off.
  4. State Farm does not want tenured employees.
  5. It used to be a good company but not anymore.
  6. Employees are drowning in almost all areas and management DOES NOT CARE.
  7. They want metrics to look good so they look good.
  8. Customer service skills. They don't want that, they want ROBOTS and Artificial Intelligence.
  9. I would never recommend anybody work for SF in any of the front line jobs. The volume is too much for the pay. It is very hard on an emoyees mental and physical health.
  10. There probably are still some good positions there but they are not in the 3400 openings.

Nothing wrong with being competitive and keeping up with the times but the abuse and performance reviews etc are just out of control or even reasonable.
I do not plan to stick around much longer either. Its the worst place I have been at and I have worked many different jobs. It is no longer a career job. Get out if you can unless you are in the right cliché or family!
