Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Is the layoff season over yet?

As usual, just before the quarter results, boys and girls in suits need to get their fair share. So, the mandatory ‘fun’ activity of layoffs has become common now. Are there any potential new rounds on the agenda? Any insights?

No, its April. They are just getting started on this round. Currently they are trying to figure out why Champion X just got bought by Schlumberger for 8.3 Busd (who already own an oilfield Chemical division in MI-Swaco). Guessing Schlumberger have read the rune stones and figured out its gonna be them and Clariant fighting for oilfield Chemical market share over the next decade or so. Not BH.

Anyway lets see how venerable the next level of layoffs are? Clocks ticking. Have you outstayed your welcome?

I don't know about layoffs, I'm just looking forward to getting Laid.

If I get laid off then I guess we can forget about getting laid.

I’m looking for a position elsewhere before this boat Titanic hits the Iceberg.

Layoff before quarter result means management failure.
