Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I just want to say that I have been on travel for Wells Fargo many times and I have attended "dinner" with middle managers who bought rounds of beer and wh----y to the tune of a couple hundred dollars on their PCARDs...AFTER someone else paid the dinner tab with their PCARD. I have also been with "managers" who had no trouble including $17 dollar GLASSES of wine on their tab for dinner. I don't care where you are, $75 dollars is a lot of money for 3 meals, especially when most hotels include breakfast with the room price. What were you buying for $75 bucks? Porterhouse steak and a bottle of Cab? Lunch couldn't have cost more than $15 bucks - what did you have?

What a Dill-ho-e. I can certainly understand being mad and bitter over getting laid off in November ... I know, I got laid off on December 1st 2020. This guy complains about a max per diem of $75 a day in a high cost city while traveling is just a spoiled rotten little child. That is 3 meals at $25 per meal.

I’ve been gone from WF for almost a year now and it was the best decision I ever made! I had been there for 20 years and Charlie and Company have dr-g the company into the ground and don’t care about the people but are so focused on lining their pockets! I don’t miss WF at all. I read all these posts on here and it seems like the company is falling apart quickly and the culture is getting worse everyday. Good luck to all of you that are still there and looking to leave. I hope you land great jobs at other companies, there are some great ones out there.

I feel like chimging in. Worst company I ever worked at. They are corrupt and career stunting. Not to mention at least in my area some of the meanest and fakest people I have ever worked with. Moved on to green pastures myself a few months ago. Don't check this board often anymore but every once in a while like a car crash you can't turn away from watching lol

Seems a bit unnecessary when you could’ve simply just converted to prime checking and then gotten them for free?

Haven't they always charged for the checks themselves?

After being an employee for 15 years, and left 4 months ago, I was charged $20 for checks. I guess they took away the "lifetime" Team Member account I opened 15 years ago. I closed 2 checking and 2 savings for $104k. Hope that $20 was worth it.

Traveling with Wells Fargo is the worst. I remember my manger would make me spend way less than the published limits, so I was pretty much limited to fast food.

Nothing wrong looking back at all the nostalgic moments you had. Now you can just laugh it all off.
Whoever thought you can join one company, and after several decades, have it transform into something completely different? I know I don’t recognize the company anymore.

You don’t need a psychiatrist. All they do is prescribe meds. You probably need several vacations.
