Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Mobile teams affected?

Just looked at the reviews in the app store since the TG, and they are overwhelmingly negative. Anyone know how the different mobile product teams will be affected in layoffs? TDA only had 2-3 mobile scrum teams compared to Schwab’s 25+.

I work in the Mobile org. Trust me when I say, we know. The rank and file employees know. We've expressed our grievances and the grievances of the new transitioned clients. It all goes in one ear and out the other from product and leadership.

The reason we have so many Mobile scrum teams is because most of the app's features are owned by one team. Trade? One team. EAC? One team. Check Deposit? One team. Our org is an absolute mess and cross-team communication is garbage. Not the dev or QA's faults though, the blame lies in those above us who aren't willing to listen.

I could go on forever, but I won't. Needless to say I'm concerned about my current position because of the feedback our apps have gotten.

Yes @4eis+1oumfZPF. They need to fix that cr-p app they created.

Mobile teams are way over staffed and our apps aren't great. Don't blame the scrum teams tho, it's poor managing directors and product vision.

I just counted the mobile scrum teams in Confluence, and there are 28.

Schwab has 25+ mobile scrum teams? That sounds way high to me. I thought we used to have 3 (for retail mobile app), but heard those got cut down to just 1 sometime last year. Am I missing something?

I don't think the reviews in the app store have anything do to with it.
