Every time there is a layoff happening, the top dogs always have some excuses. I don't even expect them to take responsibility because I don't consider them leaders, but hasn't it become disgusting for them to always look for reasons in something other than their own bad decisions and moves?

@4eew+1j5ClnNN. What ruined the company was the start of financial engineering by Welch, that was carried on by his replacement, and so on, until they brought in an outsider. Now we have Culp, who in my opinion, was handed a big POS, and he's doing what he can. Will it be enough? We'll have to wait and seem... I know alot of people who are hold their breath right now.
@4eew+1j5ClnNN News has been dropping for years, most of it bad. They need to just rip the band-aid off and get it over with.
The unions destroyed a once proud company. Remember when the news drops.
Were union employees laid off in Schenectady in this round or just salaried or a combination of both?
All power pensions follow Vernova? Then GE files with court system it’s impossible for Vernova to meet their pension obligation since Verona’s assets alone will be low and their payables too high to meet their pension responsibility. In other words, isn’t Vernova just a temporary strategy entity name set up to dump future pension obligations until Vernova is sold via a tax free transition to someone like Seimens or Toshiba? Then we must all turn around and pick up their pension tab through our taxes because of their previous bad “gambling business” decisions? Let’s keep rewarding bad irresponsible business behavior, it gives them no incentive to do any better. This doesn’t sound like it’s due to lazy hourly workers, it looks like highly paid spoiled rotten rich kids who can’t make it on their own without tax dollar handouts. Come on, GE survived much worse economic downfalls since the beginning of my time and they pulled up their own bootstraps without our help. We are not your Mommies and Daddies that you can walk all over for more. I say if they don’t straighten up after the 3 companies, cut them off and send them to bed without dinner.
: @3mcq+1j5ClnNN Well without this union Yiu would of never gotten into GE with your unskilled egotistical back stabbing self. If it wasn’t for the union workers before you who passed down the tricks of the jobs to unskilled laborers like yourselves. If it wasn’t for the union you would still be working at some dead end job.
3dei+1j5ClnNN- must be one of those disgruntled t rates again bringing their unskilled laborer mindset to 273.
Union are the downfall of ge
Yeah it's the 5000 lazy union workers. You are a joke.
Culp is "nothing more" than a Rationalizer.
Power will be leaned out of work as well. It’s coming!
Why wasn’t PB able to get this done?
@1pyx+1j5ClnNN Which category do you fit into?
They brought in VA to clean up the horrible mess that PB ignored and that Tom and Paul created by ignoring the market changes and building their SEB empires. All that uncontrolled hiring! And as usually labor laws make it a 2 year journey to eliminate heads in the EU, so US and Mexico take the brunt of it in the first round.
There is nothing wrong with our executive team. They have made billions for investors at other companies. The constant problem for GE is the stupidity, laziness, and incompetence of the individual contributors and unions.
Don’t worry, Lean will turn the Company around. Just as soon as they find a replacement for the Lean leader who quit after a month?
