Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Jet

Do we have a corporate jet and if we do what's the tail number? Can I track it as it flies around the globe?

I heard on good authority that they outfitted the Gulfstream with AIM-120 missiles.

@8mlt+1lUtKtMA, I’m with you. Too many people spend all of their time on this site commenting on other people’s comments.

Blocking from view on the internet and using a “jammer” are not even close. The first requires a federal request, while the second suggests you are James Bond.

5haq+1lUtKtMA Actually they are somewhat roght. Private aircraft coordinates and telemetry can be blocked at the internet level through FAA LADD request.

@4fpd+1lUtKtMA Traceable with a civilian tracker you bozo. Most private jets like that have jammers to prevent their detection in real-time to the likes of you or me.

I don’t understand why Oxy has so many corporate jets (besides the Midland shuttle). I clearly recall statements about getting rid of APC’s corporate jets because Oxy execs weren’t like those overpaid, spoiled APC execs and Oxy didn’t need all those planes. 3.5 years later….

@3bkd+1lUtKtMA, I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but a little bird told me there’s a basket of fruit heading for you know who.

@4dfe+1lUtKtMA, I have heard that if you tell the FAA that you are embarrassed about using your private jet, they would gladly make it so that you can’t be tracked. After all, that’s their main job.

The tail sign for the Gulfstream V is N55OXY. Highly doubt it's traceable after the the embarrassing episode where the world tracked it to Omaha and figured out Hollub's plan to get Anadarko before the company had even said a word.

It stopped in Aberdeen to give the families of the Piper Alpha victims a free ride in the jet their loved ones blood paid for.

Apparently, Oxy thought this would be appropriate compensation.
