Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Claims is getting played for fools!

Every single claims employee is getting played for fools! Bend over!!!! They are never going to stop the madness as they do not see people as a resource but only as a human resource expense to the company. I spoke with someone in upper leadership that is retiring, that shared too much, and they reaffirmed what we all know. This is just a game to our Executives as they are just trying to build a bridge until they can get out to door and leave the mess for someone else to clean up. They laugh when the current conditions in claims is brought up. Claims is a punch line for them! Their AI, bots, and automation plans are not working out and they really do not know what to do. The consultant class/ET sold them ocean front property in Arizona and these id--ts were stupid enough to buy it! This is an absolute total sh-t show in the making even well before Covid, they just got caught with their pants down and may not recover from this. "Down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier!

SVPs and OVPs clearly don’t even understand what they are implementing. They clearly are not the smartest in the room. Although their highly compensated arrogance outshines reality $$$

@4abb You sound important and big mad over how SF is running. Why does everyone come for the people who actually work the claims? Even managers in claims and the (too) many levels above blame everything on the people taking the calls and working the tasks.

@4abb Well then, you should call Tippy right now and tell him he's fired.

I, too, talked to someone in upper leadership that describes it quite differently. The SVP and OVP have the arrogance to think they are the smartest people in the room. They think the AI, bots, and automation ARE working (after all, they needed to have a good excuse to promote a different SVP’s son). The department is woefully understaffed but leaders are not allowed to talk about it. Everyone agrees that staffing needs to increase but the new HR department is spinning their wheels and the hub strategy has destroyed employee retention. So, bring on the high cost ECRs. Oh, and as a result of all that, the department is hundreds of millions over budget and the SVP and OVPs somehow think the leaders should be able to close the gap. The OP is right. We are all fools. The house of cards will fall and we will be the ones caught in the crossfire. Those retiring know it and couldn’t be happier.

I also saw someone compare us to grocery stores, and McDonald’s in theory of the betterment of humanity, we are the ones that should not be putting those employees at their job at risk. We are technically the ones that are “educated” or “fast learners”. We are the ones that can do our small part in our community in making sure everyone goes home safely to their family.

Unfortunately there’s always rebellious activity everywhere, usually not from the top.

Highly likely an employee here could have the last laugh. Family member that is vaccinated recently got the delta version. With a pool of 50k employees, it’s highly likely some people may have unknown to them immune issues, and can get knocked off. If State Farm is losing lawsuits to houses, imagine explaining to a family member their health and safety came first in a court room is an awful defense. I just hope if something does happen to somebody their family pursues those people that made that call. All actions have consequences as an insurance company we should be the best at preventing and mitigating those consequences.

It seems their current mitigation tactic is testing return to office for employees that are majorly the least compensated. Aka the poors.

Must be the guy in charge sweeping all that’s wrong at the farm under the rug. Keep ignoring it….it will go away. Since we got your attention, why don’t you do something to improve the environment to ensure continued success?

So if all the executives and employees are leaving who is left. Good example of the fake hysteria so prevalent on this cry baby site.

Really every dept is played a fool. There arent enough employees in any dept do the job adequately. Meanwhile policy growth is going up..folks quitting or retiring and not being replaced. Alot of upper executives leaving. The employees are mad and upset and the front line managers just trying to feed the kool aid.

Executives will laugh until the DOIs start getting involved with the pathetic and incompetent claim handling that’s going on.
They pushed out the talent and are just hiring people off the street with no claim experience to handle complex issues.
Claims will fall in a month or two and there will be nobody left but the execs and a couple of managers.

Sounds about right. This place is a joke. The atmosphere here is in a sad condition. Been here for over 16 years and I'm constantly looking for greener pastures.
