10 Days till FL contract expires and no negotiating from Management. Not even a proposal. IBEW doesn’t even have any updates for its members. Could there be a forced lockout?

Still no updates from union. What is taking so long? Several reps put on DML. Dozens of worksheets issued. A couple fired. All for petty b&&ll$t. Not looking good... but hey free ice cream tomorrow!!
Last update from the union was 16 days ago....tick tock tick tock...
No contract. No new updates on any progress. Just an indefinite extension that either side can terminate with 90 days notice. Frontier still holds all the cards.
ok so what's up with florida? contract expired, is there an agreement? a stirke vote? or what
Yes there is a group of 20-30 reps taking only 2-3 calls per day right now while everyone else takes as many as they can. Frontier must be in a good financial position to allow this.
No one will admit to sitting around doing nothing. Even the sups acted as if they did something while socializing all day and biggest concern was, “What’s for lunch?” So trust me when I say this even paper shufflers think they’re doing something lol. Happy it got extended for another 90 days, gives y’all a lil more time. Honestly even if contract gets signed and renegotiated for a few more years the employees will continue to hate being under management that is in place now. Taking calls has never been the issue, struggling and fighting for commission neither but just all the extra nonsense and plain lies to reps faces as if they care and doing something to better the center is what will continue to k–l the morale. Happy employees = happy customers simple.
Just heard there is a whole department just sitting around doing nothing all day while everyone else takes calls? Is that true?
Exactly. More time to squeeze the employees. If they wanted a fair deal they would have already agreed on one. This just delays the inevitable. Hopefully everyone uses this time to get out if they are unhappy. Anyone who stays at this point is taking a gamble.
90 days is great! gives the company time enough to get the new earnings report and decide whether to file chapter 11 and no longer worry about contract negotiations.
BK COMING SOON
It actually got extended 90 days.
4 Days, 5 hours, 43 min
Oxygen and the air pressure are always being monitored. In the event of a decompression, an oxygen mask will automatically appear in front of you. To start the flow of oxygen, pull the mask towards you. Place it firmly over your nose and mouth, secure the elastic band behind your head, and breathe normally. Although the bag does not inflate, oxygen is flowing to the mask. If you are travelling with a child or someone who requires assistance, secure your mask on first, and then assist the other person. Keep your mask on until a uniformed crew member advises you to remove it
Given how much we give them out of our pay I hope so! We haven’t had a contract in our favor in years.
I’m sad. I’m a phone rep previously a chat rep and more and more people are leaving everyday bcz the morale here is awful. Our director Mark was let go in a cruel way and now we are dealing with micromanagement on the phones. I am stressed out but staying here bcz I need the pay and benefits. I have a family to take care of. I’m hoping the union will work for us and get the important things worked out such as wages and pension which is very important to me.
Representatives who attended the union meaning said it was a waste of time. When is the union going to say what is going on and let's try and address the issue now! They're starting to sound like lying Dan Mcarthy!
I hate to admit it but I predicted this fiasco. It was all I could do to corral the unethical coaches that reported to me. Verizon was all about ethics but Frontier encouraged unethical behavior, see Tyrone. I couldn’t stomach the filth that permeated from that building. To quote my mentor Stav, “If you ain’t first, then you last”.
** 6 day, 2 hours, 40 min, 19 seconds ** till expiration
correctionAll I say is that everyone wants to keep their jobs and positions and keep receiving commission pay.. life is good for Juan from the looks of things.... it’s only right ppl vent and let things out and the same way management points at the reps for “outcomes” or “decisions” the company decide due to y’alls lack of whatever they say, it’s ok to point the finger at them also... they are to blame for a lot of the nonsense that goes on but just my 2 sense so fellas let them hang and sag and tell management what you feel even if it’s here... I genuinely want y’all to succeed there are a few ppl I care about still there and their families depend on them. Hopefully comes together and fast and those that need to be let go from management so be it... y’all tough right FYI I don’t do nothing anonymous I say what I want to say with my name tagged and if someone doesn’t like it too bad y’all can really look me up I ain’t hard to find

Post the comments...stop getting butthurt! Alot of this is #facts
It’s a former employee who got walked out the front door by mgmt. Someone who had chance after chance.
Companies dont exist to give you a job or benefits. A company exists to make its stockholders (owners) a profit. You are selling your labor to achieve that. You are only paid on how scarce the skills are to provide that service. Stop taking this as some personal vendetta and make sure you are your best advocate and have the best skills (product) to sell.
If you’re tired of the comments and want to get concrete info come to the union meeting today @7:30pm and grill them for answers.
I'm just so sick of all these rumors, this page is entertaining and all, but I wish someone would put something concrete in here. I'm sick of this unknowing ish, ijs. I'm going to Chuck E Cheese, I can't be bothered with this foolishness.
Only 10% can be converted to company stock by law
Why is the union wanting to change the pension to Frontier stock. This sounds totally crazy. The stock is sh--.
*8 Days* and the only thing agreed upon are the parts of the contract already in place (per update from IBEW today) and even that is “tentative”. Still zero on what matters: pay, healthcare, and pensions.
Say what you claim is true. This wouldn't in anyway go against the pension protection act? I mean damn. Frontier already ran a stock price down to under 2$
Everyone please slow down. I am a union steward and we have NOT reached an agreement as of yet. We have agreed on several points, however, we have a long way to go. Biggest hurdle is Frontier wants to convert the pension fund into Frontier stock. We are accepting on that issue but have not decided on the exact split. We will continue to update all of our brothers and sisters of IBEW
No we didnt. Shutup. Trying to stir sh-- up. Company will not even meet or respond in relation to contract negotiations.
We just got an email today that says that a new agreement has been reached. It should be signed sometime early next week with a nice raise for all of us.
Management and good old Dan are welcome to read what is posted. Maybe this way they can learn what is truly the problem. Problem starts at the top not at bottom where all union members fall
Just fyi the management team does come on this site and post stuff. And or reply to topics
I’m a retired trainer and these comments infuriate me. If you people don’t like your jobs then you can all go flip some burgers.
Let me begin by saying that I have no horse in this race, but this downfall has me truly sickened. I used to be the CCM for Verizon, I won’t say what center. I had our center as #1 in the country when I decided to pursue other avenues. It has since gone in the toilet. It is liking raising a child that goes to Harverd and then becomes a crack head. There is no saving Frontier
Been frontiers plan from the start of this management company. Cut ot. Don't negotiate a contract. They believe doing this the will eliminate the possibility of a union sticking together.
Even came straight out of their mouth.
"All this is being done because techs just don't want to do their jobs"
The closed door meetings has many conversations about eliminating the workforce. The new/old loopcare/VRS that failed multiple times before is being 100% relied on.
Customers are leaving at an alarming rate now. Wait until management who couldn't tell you tip from ring is out working the troubles.
FL will be much easier to sell without a union contract to weigh it down, and everyone know ftr needs to sell it off. After 1 failed sales attempt already, this could be the new selling point. Customers, as always will be the one to suffer if mgmt has to try and cover the field work, and with a competition out there, customer loss will be at an all time high.
I love Frontier, it's the best thing that ever happened to us. My brother- cousin and I both work there and our kids that we have together have the best insurance. I have great dental for all 5 of my teath.
I work for Frontier in Deland and my coach told me that she might be going to work in Tampa in a few weeks but she wouldn’t tell me anything else. Does anyone else think that is kind of strange?
