Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Dear STS/CTS Leadership......You are Truly Effin Clueless and tone deaf

Login this morning to an email from STS/CTS for a free pick from sugarwish . com. We work our a%%es off for this conversion, long holiday hours and you gift me Two cookies, YES literally 2 cookies!!. What is this kindergarten??

If you actually think we appreciate this lame gift you are truly clueless. This feels like an insult to receive such a token gift. Also lets be honest, this sugarwish company is based outside of Denver....seems like someones buddy just made $$ off Schwab easily.

So to leadership my response is Eff you and your cookies.

Two overpriced cookies was a d-mb idea even it was supposed to be token gift.

I agree the same money put towards Amazon gift cards would have been more practical and meaningful to employees.

The best gift I ever got from an STS was a Swell-like insulated thermal water bottle. They are an expensive thank you gift and probably over $50.

@3ydl+1ouImjEk easy answer. I'd rather it not be used at all. This 'gift' was an absolute joke. I can't believe someone thought "let's get everyone cookies!"

Many orgs gave gift cards, Amazon, I think. It's like $20 or $25. I rather they distributed like this for everyone. It's small, but still a token of appreciation. A lot of folks here complained why this amount is so low. I personally thought it was a nice gesture. Sure, it won't buy much, but it's the thought that counts.

I haven’t received any emails about this. Why are some orgs not giving their employees anything??

These gifts were planned by a team of your peers in STS. Different STS organizations may have chosen to use the $$ differently. The initial thought was to not use the money at all because we, your peers, were worried about people saying it's not enough with layoffs coming up. I guess my question is, would you rather the budget for these gifts not be used at all or to do something for everyone, even if it's small? It feels like a no win situation.... you get something and complain, you get nothing and complain.

If you’re so offended post your redemption code. Those cookies look pretty good!

Clark Griswold got a years membership in the Jelly of the Month club. That was a joke and seems better than two cookies.

At least you won't have to put the "Schwab branded hot sauce bottle" on the family table. "Look kids what daddy got at work" ;)

My manager got a Schwab branded hot sauce bottle. I would say it could be worse but I got nothing.

I saw that. I was expecting some kind of gift like a tote or a 3x3 blanket.

I wish I logged into a meeting that was a “quick chat” with my MD.

I love my cookies 🍪 we should all realize that this is a token of appreciation and not intended to build your wealth. Either buy the cookie or leave it.

I don’t work for CS but rather another Fortune 500 company and was recently gifted a gift card to a sandwich shop for all our hard work getting through a busy summer, I guess I should consider myself “lucky” I got an actual meal instead of a snack! 🤣
