They have CES employee appreciation on Sept 20th. LMAO if layoffs is that week.

@5pmw+1ov7GrkW There are two components to the cost saving -- $500 million from reduced real estate and flattened hierarchy, which will happen this year, and an additional $500 from taking TD servers/apps offline and removing redundant positions from TD. I think the additional 20% are from the latter.
Cost savings must be realized by the end of the year so how can layoffs happen in January of 2024? It seems detrimental to send everyone back to the office and then enact layoffs.
@5lwx+1ov7GrkW Did you ask how many people will be impacted?
I met with an svp level earlier. They confirmed that the original date was the week of 9/18 but legal is still finalizing their review, so the date was moved to q4 with completion anticipated by early October. They still don't have specific dates, but once legal is done, the svps/above will be given 3-5 day notice so that they can start modification for the change event. This will account for around 80% of the layoffs. The rest will happen in q1 next year. Decisions have been made. Now it's just a waiting game,
I was laid off last Nov 15 and so were several on my team (all age 45+). Seems to be the 3rd Tues of the month. Good luck y'all. I found a better job. You will, too!
CRM just confirmed Q4
I am not starting layoffs till October.
I can confirm that everything RTODelayLeaker has said in this thread is true! Merry Christmas and good luck everyone!
Good luck to everyone for tomorrow!
Id--t @3kab+1ov7GrkW, do some work you peasant. You are paid to work and not jerk… a--hole.
EA is enterprise architecture.
Im ok with the delay. Every month of delay is about two extra paychecks. That’s how I look at it. In fact, in Sept you get three paychecks!
@3kab+1ov7GrkW Wrong, it is the week of December 25th. Christmas bonus will be a pink slip.
@3ste+1ov7GrkW Changed again. My source says it is January 2nd next year when everyone is going back to office.
I am just a lowly IC, but I will be really frustrated if they drag this into October. They announced layoffs in JULY. It has been months already. I understood why they waited until after the Sept TG, but it seems very unnecessary and downright cruel to hold this over your employees' heads for weeks on end. My manager is pushing me to make quarterly goals, and it feels like a pointless task when I don't know who of my partners will even be here in Q4.
@3uki+1ov7GrkW It’s CS. The dates keep changing. Deal with it. It’s October.
@3waz+1ov7GrkW We don’t need a source to see the bs you are trying to pull here. First it is 9/25, then 9/18, now October? You are just here to get a ride out of people, some of whom are anxious about losing their livelihood. Hope you are proud of what you are doing a-hole.
EA is Electronic Arts.
What does your real a-s say about layoffs date @ FckFakeLeakers
@3knp+1ov7GrkW Can you and other fake a-s leakers stop trolling?
Please do not speculate about layoffs timing anymore. It’s confirmed from my sources that’s it’s in October.
How did we go from layoff date speculation to EA?
What is EA?
I’ve worked in EA teams in other companies. Schwab’s EA is an absolute joke.
Most EA teams understand the need to change standards in a thoughtful, responsible way. Oh not Schwab. They go through architectural standards changes faster than my 5 year old changes his mind about what to have for breakfast.
Hey, it’s the weekend. Looking at some of these recent posts…. A lot of you needs to get a life. Seriously.
It will be the first week of October.
@2byo+1ov7GrkW Please don’t bring up EA and ruin rest of my weekend! EA is an overrated concept at Schwab run by huge population of directors ( individual contributors) slowing down the development process in the name of at architecture governance.
@1pbk+1ov7GrkW it’s 2023. The comment the MD5 is good enough is absolutely ridiculous. If you are on a machine where you notice a difference in calculating a SHA2 hash and feel it’s too slow, then you really need a new computer—new as in made in the last 10 years. I’m guessing you just wanted to inject your self proclaimed technical prowess into the discussion so every know you are also a technical person? Also, based on your answer I’m guess you are one of those dinosaurs working in EMOST or EA. Lol
HR will call you not your "supervisor"
Sorry for my earlier post. It’s confirmed the layoffs will start in October. Enjoy rest of your September in speculations.
Here it is.. the md5 for you all __|__
MD5 would be just fine for this use-case. No need to go SHA2, a full 224 bits. In fact, SHA1 at 160 bits would be ok too. You still have to encode to hex or base64, which is pretty long string.
Lots of fake leakers around here, but too bad they are all wrong! The only thing that’s been confirmed is there is a list that’s making it’s way down the chain. Expect to hear something on Monday or Tuesday next week.
Likely Advisor Services will wait until after the IMPACT conference to announce layoffs (10/24 a/10/26).
Here’s a thought. If you are “leaking” info that you feel is legit, you should add a SHA2 hashed message at the end of your post. Then when you come back claiming to be the original poster, provide the plain text message you previously hashed so that we can verify it’s really you. That’ll still preserve anonymity but provide some verification.
Let’s talk on 19th about why the layoffs didn’t happen on 18th
Actually I am the real poster that leaked the RTO delay. The real one. My sources are all pointing to 9/18, and I standby that. Don't listen to any of the imposters, as they are suffering from imposter syndrone.
I’m actually the one who leaked the RTO delay and layoffs have been confirmed to start the week of 9/25.
As the one who leaked the RTO delay said, October seems to be the target. Our leader(s) have been transparent in open meetings and even in All Hands meetings (so no rumor mill stuff here) that impacts to our org will be in October. They have also confirmed that the number in our org isn't finalized, nor is the date- but it is definitely happening and it is definitely happening in October. And yes, they confirmed there are NDAs in place- that is not a rumor. NDAs don't prevent them from discussing the matter- NDAs just prevent them from speaking specifics (#s, dates, etc).
ALL THAT SAID, there is no indication this will be a single day event. I've been around for a few layoff rounds, and they do not always happen at once (sometimes it works out that way- sometimes it doesn't). It is possible that different orgs will be impacted at different times. So impacts to some orgs may begin this month (Sept), while impacts to other orgs may begin in October. It's also just as possible that it will all happen at once. If that is the case, then it is happening in October.
Friendly tip: always read the public SEC filings. There's a lot that they have disclose in those- including stuff like this.
