@3vnj+1c2Hpd2g Spoken like a true baker manager “if the … worker really tried to work smarter cheaper etc like what was asked of you, maybe would've had a fighting chance”
Yeah, it’s all the fault of the plebs.
And that attitude is why they picked your plant. I personally think its a forgone conclusion.. if the so called honest worker really tried to work smarter cheaper etc like what was asked of you, maybe would've had a fighting chance, been in the card for years
I'm in too, get nothing from me, just think about it, it's like digging your own grave!!! Consultation will be spun and you'll be fed a crock of promises like when they offered you a pay rise that never happened. In the meantime they use your labour for the only goal they have, to finish the work and get out cheap.
Enjoyed the furlough was like a paid holiday for 18 months. Looking forward to pay rise for putting up with furlough.
I’m in.
Let’s show them exactly what power they really have without the real honest worker backing.
Aye, let's all go on the sick, get the figures red across the board, office has sat at home for18months laughing while not 1 of us suckers got furlough, made fools of us and still trying to do it. Give them nothing now, zero, nada, zilch, that's what they gave us
Better still, go on the sick with depression. They can’t touch you.
Aye, work your notice and then get minimum payout so if you've any brains start performing at 10% efficiency, why would you now put any effort in whatsoever?
If you are working and have orders to complete. Be expected to work your notice
You call $20 through the roof. What do we pay you?
$7.50 an hour
I tripled my money pulling it out of BH.
Get bent nerd.
Happy days, the share price is going through the roof, see what happens when you unload the monkeys,
I love this page
Are we getting a bonus this year ?
What cr-p is spoken on here, you don't know what your mouthing about, any of you mp, msp, hr , what a load of old cr-p, get real
Wont hear anything until reps have started consultation…?? What are you expecting HR to do ?? Decision has been made to shut the doors .. either find another job now or hang on until bitter end in the hope of a decent severance.. its that simple we wont get anything else .. very much doubt we will get help to find another job etc.an . msp an mp are on the case now lmfao.. days of getting real practical help have long since gone
The GE deal was a disaster for Baker Hughes. It was far from perfect before but it now has GE talking heads in all the major management positions who do little except hold meetings and are lauded purely because they have a GE background.
Quality used to be important but cost is the only driver now. Continual outsourcing and offshoring jobs will comeback and bite the people making these decisions in the end however they’ll have bled the company dry on their fat cat expat salaries in the meantime.
No HR at BOD for years
Atmosphere in here horrendous, no word of anything as usual, no sign or word from hr, management been hiding for months, usual pathetic, amateur carry on you'd come to expect from this dump , closure long overdue
Sad to hear for sure. The company will emerge of this down curve stronger than ever (not).
How many times have we heard that?
All the best to those dealing with this terrible situation.
It’ll be done and dusted a lot quicker than expected (consultation will be a waste of time now the decisions been made) really sad to see but not a surprise.. just hope the severance won't be too bad, .. How much say HR has is this might be a big factor ? We all know HR has been fair before
Saunders and Co at their best again They love closing a plant and blaming the down turn in the industry. Look at Broadfold Road open again. When really they are the most useless bunch of cunts going.
Where are the HR in time of crisis …. No sign since 2020 ???
Moving to Saudi makes sense. CEO has been breaking new ground in that region. And posting Muslim holiday on LinkedIn. Never saw him post Jewish holidays or Christian holidays. I guess you can change your religion for money. All while “going green” and securing a rich fossil fuel region.
It would be best to stay quiet during the “transition”
@1jiq+1c2Hpd2g so you love folk losing their livelihoods, possibly their homes etc. Bit of a lo----e comment. Good luck in life..
love it
The workforce should require three interviews each for possible transfers before pumping out another pound.
All the managers time will be spent job hunting while your busy pumping out the last of it. “Management Meetings” are code for securing another job.
Likely that the plants will be moved abroad. Big manufacturing plants in Singapore and Saudi now. Easy exporting compared to UK and less rules plus cheaper access to raw materials.
Your all redundant! But can you come back tomorrow and finish the work. fu----g wankers.
Well you UK lads always said you were smarter than us yanks. Bet you feel stupid now putting all your honey into that wretch of a place. Goes to show that you should have stayed loyal to the green street. You’ll always have Sunday morning pints and match day.
As for your colonial cousins, we knows how it feels to get done in the deck. So get the bees!
Hoi hoi next fall. Go Rangers!
Cr-p useless management, guy making a career putting out emails about qn count that doesn't know a lathe from a hoover! The 5 whys, give us a break, useless rotten leadership brought a good place down. Shame for young guys trying to build a career.
Ha ha ha! Welcome to the club. Sorry for some but not others. Many parasites at BOD now have to face reality.
Hey ho, suns out tomorrow hopefully.
Used to be a cracking place to work. Shame to see its rapid decline and the impacted workforce. Didn't believe it myself until seen the empty carpark.
Can you please remember and fill in you 6s along with ogos, oh and remember your safety observation.
At least with pandemic everyone will have tightened their belts, should have spare cash to see you through. Unless you've recently git a mortgage or bought a new audi or BMW or merc, hopefully nobody has done that.
Of course its a shame .. over a hundred families will be severely affected by this.. bunch of clowns ? And who are you? .. probably some disgruntled CLOWN shown the door ages ago
Lots of cost reductions and people already made redundant at BOD no pay rise for years .. managing director already moved on .. should've been a sign that there was no word of a replacement etc.. consultation will be just the legal requirements.. the decision has been made,, worked all through the pandemic.. good quarterly results lmao … share price is all that matters and its been in free fall for a while.. real shame 40 plus years ….bod no more
Thought blodge went last year, goes to show no matter how far up you crawl, bare spud hopefully
Nae luck blodge £50k doon the drain after all your hanging on and broon nosin, superb!
Never spent millions in Montrose for nothing, goodbye 👋
That's what you get for fighting through pandemic lads, kicked in the teeth hahaha
