The problem with IBM is that they can't fix anything. Instead they rather jettison any businesses that they perceive doesn't work! Why do we have Execs and managers? None of these guys can fix anything, they are always taking the easy road of getting rid of things! There are less and less things to get rid of... If that continues on this trajectory, at some point there will not be an IBM Company anymore. LOL!

There has been a persistent rumor that IBM is supposedly shopping TSS along with other pieces of the infrastructure division. This may make sense if IBM is deemphasizing the HW and proprietary OS side of the house. IBM has tried this before when they exited Intel, so there is some experience as to what drives decisions in this business.

It’s under Infrastructure doing approx 6 billion a year and slowly shrinking
