File an excel line report anonymously, but have the store managers name and the RVP’S name included in the part where they can’t have access to it, the report will be routed to corporate BSS, and the HR business partner. I guarantee if your store manager is only working bankers hours and you file a report, he/she will be terminated or demoted. The reason they have gotten away with it for so long is the RVP is allowing it, you will be opening a can of worms, but this is part of the reason Belk is falling apart, because people like this are employed here.
Our store manager never closed any been that way for years still working at Belk
Store manager should close one or two nights a week. Your SM is working bankers hours and getting away with it? That wouldn’t fly at my store.
You need to call the excel line
Even if you are anonymous you will have documentation of this if they try to fire you
You can use it as leverage for retaliation
Everyone (including managers) must work the same shifts, nobody (full time, salary) should have just daytime shifts, weekday shifts, a set schedule, or less hours than required, you need to contact BSS, because it sounds like your RVP is allowing this, they must monitor a store managers schedule as part of the audit process.
—a store manager in Mississippi was doing this and was terminated
Store manager should be working some closing shifts, under no circumstances should a store manager be working day shifts only, this is not acceptable.
No it’s not allowed call excel and have report sent to corporate HR not RVP, the manager could get terminated for this, and so can the RVP is they are allowing it.
