Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

What exactly is TIAA trying to prove? Seriously...what is it?!?!?!!!!!?????

The House of Cards continues to fall. First the Supreme Court struck down the unlawful mandates, and now OSHA has finally come to their senses as well. Yet for some strange reason they continue to delight in holding this vaccine requirement over people's heads.

Yes, keep "trusting the science" on a "vaccine" that continues to prove more and more as each day goes on, that it's "safety" and "effectiveness" is an utterly pathetic joke at best.

What is it, the power??? The continued intimidation???? The control????? What is it???? When will it ever end????

So much for "natural immunity" as long as they can keep this immoral requirement in place and it leads to "natural attrition" huh??? Perhaps that was the game plan all along.

All they care about is reducing head counts. That’s all this vaccine policy is about.

And now after saying they would not allow unvaccinated employees take covid test in lieu of getting vaccinated they are going to require weekly testing of employees once the offices open next month. How does that make any sense?

It has nothing to due with health. It’s a way for TIAA to get rid of costs without saying they need to get rid of costs. TIAA never gives employees or the public the true story. They always use a cover story. Always.

@3qrh+1eYtduJD Maybe you should go work for Wells or BOA, you seem like you will be more happier there. You seem very miserable now @ TIAA... Most of us are not as miserable as YOU.

The TIAA employee base is very odd. One look at boards like Wells and BOA and it's clear their people actually give a d amn about their rights. Meanwhile over here at TIAA the board is always quiet. TIAA's C-Suite has their commoners well trained and docile it seems.

Why is no one talking about how many large companies are mandating vaccine STATUS REPORTING and not actually mandating the vaccine itself??!! Even though it’s personal health information, I can understand if a company wants to know what percentage of their workforce is vaccinated if that’s how they want to base their business decisions. But to mandate the vaccine is flat out WRONG. It translates to: the people at the top believe in it so we’re going to force this belief on everyone beneath us and force them out if they have dissenting views. When in history has this ever been the ethical thing to do? I can only assume that this is how they think of us when it comes to our business too. Our perspective is dismissed and we're barely an afterthought. Perhaps the silver lining is that we now know what type of company we’ve been working for.

The only thing going for them is remote work and unlimited pto (not that our workload affords us the opportunity to take advantage of it). When the time comes for them to do away with these perks let’s see how much talent remains.

Exactly, they can keep the fancy office and silly perks. It lacks authenticity and feels like a failed attempt to make us feel welcome and appreciated. Respect us to make personal medical decisions and stay out of it. Our health decisions aren't at liberty for a business to control.

This will backfire in time when people realize there are other companies that hold true to their values and you can feel like you matter. If your boss doesn't care about you why would you care about your boss??

If they’re “following the science” they need to reevaluate this mandate based on recent updates. I’ll leave it at that.

They’re likely oblivious to the fact that they have so many resentful employees. I have no pride working here anymore. I put in exactly 40 hours a week and the bare minimum to fulfill my responsibilities. I get the job done but this company won’t get an ounce of extra effort or time from me. Oh, you need something urgently from me at 6pm on a Fri? Too bad. If the company wants me to give a s, they’ll need to give a s about me too. Let’s start with not telling me what to do with my body.
