When they happen, and they will, it will be early in the next quarter for financial reasons.

Sprint people tend to "blame" T-Mobile people in response to accusations that they (Sprint) are to blame for company issues.

Agreed and it goes the other way as well. For er Sprint people keep blaming T-Mobile people. Ridiculous.

@3qhl+1mbbj31Z Yes!!! But as you read the comments in this thread (and many others), legacy T-Mobile people keep attacking Sprint people for the problems inside T-Mobile. It is ubiquitous.

The problem is that all of you actually believe there are still legacy Sprint or legacy T-Mobile employees. We're all T-Mobile employees and if we're going ybe successful, it's because we do it together.

Your problem is that you are assigning T-Mobile's problems with Sprint. T-Mobile's problems began when John left and Mikey (team Magenta) got control.

Your problem is that you're characterizing T-Mobile as a failing business. It's not. What it is though is joining the ranks of many other successful corporations where layoffs become the norm. I hate it and I'm unhappy working for T-Mobile. But again, that doesn't make it a failing business. Yes, it has problems. Normal problems.

Let me be more plain. Magenta controls the leadership. Their are problems with T-Mobile both internally and externally. Mikey has lost control and is ineffective, but go on and keep casting blame on everyone else.

Let me spell it out plainly. Sptint was failing miserably a a business and the only reason many of you are still employed is because T-Mobile acquired Sprint. As for Sievert, he's not Legere, but this is still a financially healthy company that knows how to please shareholders (even if it's at the expense of employees). I don't like present day T-Mobile, but that's not the same as saying it's failing.

So Mikey is a failed leader? I agree. He is ineffective in leading this company and "fixing" what is wrong. Again, the buck stops with a giant Magenta failure.

Scapegoat? No, T-Mobile's SLT owns the overall business decisions, even though there are a couple of Sprint C-level leaders. But in terms of Technology systems and processes, legacy Sprint employees have been in just enough key middle management positions to influence us operationally and culturally. It's been strange to see a failed company's employees assume responsibility of entire organizations or for new teams to be created under their leadership. Add these changes to the corporate changes and we aren't the same company anymore, in a bad way.

Funny. T-Mobile is still largely Magenta leadership. And let's not forget the Mikey is the leader (cough cough) of this company. He is team Magenta. The downfall began when Mikey took over and John left. That is crystal clear. But, yeah, go ahead and try to find a scapegoat in Sprint... (sarcasm) It's all the fault of Sprint .. it's all the fault of the unvaxxed... it's all the fault of Trump. Magenta people need to grow up and take responsibility instead of whining and complaining and casting blame. SMH.

I always keep the best of the best. Just happens that legacy Sprint folks rarely fall in that category. Sorry, not sorry.

Re: the prior comment "One VP recently quoted as saying, "if it's yellow [sprint], it's gone." HQ2 [Kansas city] will probably not exist by 2025."...

This kind of attitude may exist in some circles, but it's so untrue overall. Since the merger, so many legacy Sprint folks have been elevated to prominent and influential roles across Technology. So much so that it has fundamentally changed our culture in a negative ways. So as much as I'd love to see legacy Sprint employees and influence gone, that ship has sailed. Also, if Overland Park eventually disappears, it will be to cut costs. Several legacy T-Mobile MSOs have been or will be closed for the same reason.

Got jabbed on my own long before it was required because I actually give a damn about my health and the health of others. No regrets.

Multiple biz units, mostly IT and digital, but others too. All in first week of April. Many units report cuts of 20-25%. Tmo is still turning off back end systems that were part of Sprint. That process continues thru 1Q24, so many many more layoffs to come. Workforce is very uneasy right now. One VP recently quoted as saying, "if it's yellow [sprint], it's gone." HQ2 [Kansas city] will probably not exist by 2025.

They just announced the 1st quarter earnings on 4/27. I doubt they'd do anything else between now and then.

Also if they want to keep the financial hit isolated to 2Q, you'd expect the layoffs to be done by April 30.

Completely agree - troll.

OP...answer your own question. What are the 2 dates the CEO indicated FTEs would receive a $500 bonus "if still employed"?

July and December, right?

OP if your professional plan and preparation is "ask a message board".....concerning. Do a new thing ie...be brave and find another job where you feel more secure? You can do it, you found the one you have.

Unless you are HR etc and are polling. I can actually see that being done. Message boards - like a distant cousin to the fake internal surveys.

Mikey-boy is legacy T-Mobile. He is making these layoff decisions. Nobody to blame but T-Mobile. Got a clue.

Now that Sprint has taken over, layoffs will happen in perpetuity. Just find your new job now and save your mental health.
