Be on the lookout folks as Sales will lay off folks this week on October-4th. I heard from multiple sources 7-9% of many teams will be impacted.

They fired people after being forced to fill out the "Best Companies to Work For " survey.
Nobody is forced to fill it out. You get an invitation to fill it out. That's it.
I got 2 invitations over the years. I filled out the first survey, but not the second.
I think they have been searching for buyers for UCS. With migration to cloud, what company (Lenovo, Dell, HPE, etc.) wants to make new investment in x86 servers technology?
Are we exiting the compute space? Why the compute TSA culling if we’re not?
I also got hit; 20+ years of bringing meaningful numbers in sales. Loyalty is expected but certainly not reciprocated. I never minded working hard (not only for Cisco but also to take care of my customers), but I am now regretting sacrificing all that time away from the family. Certainly not the "family" and "caring for employees" that is often messaged by the ELT.
I wish everyone who was impacted a positive outcome out of this. Good luck, everyone!
yup, got notified on Wed, CISG Sales SE. 10+years :(
If you worked at Duo and got impacted while I'm very sorry to hear you honestly can't be that surprised. You knew this day was coming. As a acquisition company Cisco closed in 2018 your 3 years of integration safety is long over. Now it's time for Cisco to sc--w up the product like everything else.
@3prw+1oTxqSjr Very sorry to hear this! You guys were stellar. Unfortunately this is how Cisco treats its people. Once they figure they are done using you, your family time, your peace of mind, they dump you. Slam bam, thank you mam!
Corporate pi-ping at its best. Splunk folks will get theirs in another couple of years. If they are wise, then they will vest their stocks and leave right after the official takeover.
TSA here laid off. Came from Duo. I know many others in Duo who got laid off.
They fired people after being forced to fill out the "Best Companies to Work For " survey.
I was tapped today. TSA. 25 years. buh-bye!
This is sure a stealth layoff. Haven't heard a peep from any management.
Layoffs are in Cisco culture. We don't care about people, we are just greedy to make a few cents more on the dividends. Chuck and Fran will move on after it is too late. Just believable when the company is doing so well. Chuck and Fran, can you spell "attrition" or "reassignment"?
I was laid off today and was in virtual sales. Su-ks giving your all to a company and having entire role eliminated. They gave early and standard exit options
UK&I here had the one to one with my manager today . Its goodbye from me .
Post from TheLayoff.com
Direct Sales team here. Impacted
Someone ask during next week's Cisco Beat why we're doing layoffs in sales immediately after paying out an additional 2.5% CPF bonus for the first time ever w/ the highest CPF in 20 yrs.
It's hard to generate sales and recurring revenues when you cut the sales team(s).
I don't know of any direct teams affected by today's cuts. Architectures I know got cut, some pretty deep. Mostly TSAs from what I've seen, a few PSSs.
Condolences to those that were impacted today. It is a sad day for all of us. Best of luck with great success on your next journey.
Was it only direct Sales or even overlay Sales?
Only promotions to Marketing Director this morning. No layoffs here.
The sales party is over. In UK it will hit in November after the initial notification period and associated processes required by law are done. Hasta La Vista, Bebe.
Wow! I thought this thread was a troll until this morning. I am a believer. Sales. Impacted!
Confirming it is happening today. Sales.
No large pools of blood. Softening the Edges.
Marketing and Sales in AMER hit this morning. Many older, long-time employees affected.
Started in Canada this morning.
Oct 4 will be a holocaust. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Since Splunk isn't profitable, exiting fiscal Q2 with a $63 million net loss then Cisco will need to trim costs after the acquisition closes at around the third quarter of next year or sooner
I heard RTP is ramping up.
Fasten your seatbelts compadres and cabrón! This is gonna be beautiful! Cisco is a hijo de la fregada
Wondering if it's also impacting Marketing? I'm getting weird vibes from my manager, but maybe that's just the never-ending layoff dread.
Engineering will also be impacted.
Yep brutal day tomorrow….
Why would you hire and LR at the same time?
Did you miss FY2023?
Why would there be an LR immediately after a salary increase and RSU?
Commercial Growth Hires are only for cheaper outside candidates. No internal. The OD said all new jobs are only from outside.
Commercial is actually hiring people for "growth" right now. Why would you hire and LR at the same time?
Which BUs did not grow in sales last quarter?
We lost so many opportunities due to the poor management.
Many senior sales left for better payment and some good ones are laid off.
Cisco is not like the Cisco years ago. Senior sales are replaced to young cheap id--ts and they don’t know anything.
Layoff this week is result of Jeff's decision to transfer field AM customers to Virtual sales
I’m calling BS on this post.
