What a great way to ensure that your employees are extremely distracted, stressed out, and have poor morale and mental health - by letting these rumors run rampant and not saying anything!

Give them another award!

Some in Denver may think that being laid off (with a severance package) in these times would be a blessing.

This company is toxic as he-l and getting worse by the day. Plus most Denverites don’t want to move to Texas.

Holding signs like that for the Exec teams visit next week would only get folks fired without packages.

With any “luck” and “blessing” some of us will be fortunate to never have to go to this website again or fear of these rumors anymore.

Has anyone heard a rumor that the company was laying off Denver employees to hire younger cheaper workers in Dallas?

Would that be an unfair labor practice?

Or a violation of the ADEA?

Would it be bad if a company who specializes in managing retirees accounts had really bad publicity around taking unfair actions against their own older employees?

Has anyone heard that about a collection of signs outside of the building on Monday when higher ups are in town that say something like “People Over Profits” or “stop the T thing” or “Retire Ageism”?

Is that something that the media would run with on the heels of today’s news from NBC?

What would that do for the business?

Would it be bad for the company image?

Would the institutions take issue with being affiliated with that sort of thing?

Would the board?

Would anyone high up get fired?

Would they remain silent and absent?

These are all questions and rumors.

@3orn+1tLJxA3y Yay another anxiety filled weekend. Hopefully the last one if they finally divulge the truth to the rumors next week.

I hope they tell Denver ppl first in person or on a zoom call at the very least BEFORE the email. Then inform the rest of the company later. Let Denver folks have their dignity and process it on their own terms by themselves first so they don’t get a bunch of emails, teams chats, texts, or calls from people asking what’s going on or what they’re gonna do.

But I doubt it’ll happen that way… Guaranteed the whole company finds out at the same time what’s going on.

Upper management is flying into Denver this upcoming week so I assume this is when we will get the announcement about Denver closing. I heard that we will also get the email this upcoming Monday .

@2pcv+1tLJxA3y IDK about that, lots of us feel something is coming next week. Call it a premonition one gets after years of change here. Especially with the fcc guidebook up for over a week and updated on Monday.

I think you’re right about the end of August … probably the communication of that other project (may affect both ppl impacted by whatever is next week and several others) and is conveniently before the big TH.

Nothing. End of August is supposedly when the big announcements come.

Rumor for that date was on another thread for Denver where someone had that date and abbreviated - if you know you know.

I would assume it’s when they tell Denver staff the office is closing by 12/31/24 and whatever plans are rumored from that scenario but who knows. It could also be the other project where jobs go to that consulting firm.

Either way it’ll probably get pushed to September or October like all things seem to be lately. Just postponing the inevitable.

I am not aware of anything happening 8/5. Is there a town hall or something of that sort on your calendar for that date? I don't see anything nor have I heard anything about the significance of 8/5.
