Im from the colombia BU that was sold, now i very seldom check this oxy forum, but still with are connected with oxy and have our oxy emails and network access till year end i might as well post.
For us under the new management about 25% got a leveling or a promotion, with salary increases from 10 to 15 %there was huge backlog my self i had been waiting my promotion for a couple of years
Of course people with more than 100%of their salary bans just got in the range of 1.6 to 2.5%, i you were below 100% people got from 4 to 6%.
God grace we were sold.
Carlyle made k–ling buying low they can spare a few cash flow to start correcting this huge bsvklog of promotions in the VH era

There are years where 1 or 2 % would be a windfall. This was before the current era of spoiled brats in the energy business. You know, when bonuses and LTI were not given out and were not the industry standard. So take what they give you and be happy or else leave. Good luck finding another job.

1 or 2% raise won't help much after Biden's new tax plan

Your ranking most likely was not shared with you. There is a lot of interim work in the process that is not shared with the employees for obvious reasons. There may even be sub ranking that are kept but never given out to the employees.

Got a whopping 1%. Team lead called me mid week to let me know. I kind of just shrugged it off. Whatever, an extra $1k-2k per year is not much after taxes. Would have much rather just had a bonus that was actually based on my performance, especially after we spent all that time jumping through HRs id–tic new rating system.

So it seems like even though there were no "official" performance ratings given out, some people got raises and some did not. Makes you wonder what the criteria was and that there was some sort of ranking done.

I got a whopping 1% raise lol. The Oxy Execs sure had a strong plan for optimizing both companies with that merger.

From what I can deduce, the below are the major 10 steps that have taken place thus far:

Step 1. Give all the strong performers over 40 a huge package on the APC side to leave causing a huge reduction in talent.

Step 2. Cut APC salaries by 4.9% and all Oxy employees by 30% for a couple months.

Step 3. Let C.I. and his compadres onto the board.

Step 4. Lock all of the GOM employees into purgatory and just completely forget about that side of the business

Step 5. Hold a lottery so employees that didn’t qualify for packages and that have valuable skill sets hopefully get lucky with submitting the number of months they want to get paid for just leaving causing another reduction in talent.

Step 6. Hire monkeys to run the IT department and pay them in ba-na-nas.

Step 7. Announce to the public that even though we’re in massive debt that the company is starting a Carbon Capture program that won’t be profitable for many years, if ever.

Step 8. Give everyone the same cash bonus because socialism is hot right now.

Step 9. Randomly not give some employees their LTI because stock is reserved to pay Mr. B that 8% coupon

Step 10. Cap the raise at 2% because hey, screw all the employees that couldn’t get that big pay day for just leaving and they must be the bottom of the barrel anyway if they couldn’t figure out how to get cashed out.

I sure can’t wait for Oxy to put this master plan together with the final pieces of the puzzle and become a premier Oil & Gas company. Boy are we going to look stupid for ever doubting them!

It all depends on where you sit in your salary range. You could be in the top 1% of your range and have an excellent rating and still get a very small raise.
