I'm tired of those who keep threatening they're going to quit and in 99% of cases, they're still here doing the same thing. If you're saying you're going to quit then do it already! If everybody who said they want to leave actually left, the attrition would be twice as high. It's not, though, it's at normal levels. Keyboard warriors, all of you.

It's so sad to that HR has to post their unsolicited two cents on here. The only thing I see is red, white & blue in my review mirror.
At @3nsu+1fxGwKsU. Saw people like that back in around '12 or '14. Eventually, they were part of the layoffs, even though they checked certain diversity boxes. I guess the company is really tightening the purse strings now and cutting costs wherever they can.
One of my former colleagues spent about five years trying to get fired. He would show up for work about 9:30, disappear about 10:30 and we generally wouldn't see him again until about 4:00. He rigged his computer so it would show he was online and active.
Management was made aware multiple times but was too inept to care, so he continued pulling a salary for no work. One year he even got promoted (diversity promotion). He was quite open about his lack of caring and hoped to get laid off with a package so he could tap his retirement to find a startup business he was working on.
For five years he gladly took the money and later went on to do some PPP scams. Point being there's no need to quit if they'll keep paying you to do nothing.
A lot of managers in Plano ran side businesses out of their offices. The joke was they thought no one knew but it was all over the building
Why quit when you can coast and continue collecting a salary? In the past year I started a company and have been running it while doing my day job. Because expectations are so low it has been a breeze. I probably would have gotten promoted to VP if I checked more diversity boxes.
Sounds like misery doesn't want any company or someone trolling from HR.
Finally a post worth reading on this useless site where only the lazy come to whine about how they never get promoted or their boss treats them badly!! Hard work always pays off and helps you sleep at night. If everyone who is threatening to quit actually did it would make it a better place to work at without all the negativity.
I left last month. So did 2 others... Check out the turnover in the field and think twice about your post. The Great Resignation is legit and there are better companies out there that actually have more than 4 holidays off.

Our entire team is just hanging out doing the bare minimum waiting for a package.
@OP+1fxGwKsU Easier said than done. Everyone's situation is different as for the reasons someone stays or goes. But when it comes time to cutting heads, zero mercy will be given. None. They are probably hanging out waiting for a severance. Can't say I blame them.
