Talk me about this Lexmark deal - what’s it mean and what’s going to happen?

Obv a lot of downbeat & disaffected folks out there! The reality is that this is good business for both firms. Lexmark pays Xerox for managing their fleet (on the basis that its more cost effective to leverage Xerox' scale and market presence) Xerox makes profit on the deal and makes further economies of scale by adding more volume to its business at minimal cost. What's not to like!

It's not a merger or just us servicing Lexmarks. It's a bad deal in which XBS gets to handle Lexmark's deals for them as well. In other words, Lexmark sells a fleet of printers to a customer in your state, your warehouse gets them, sets them up, deliver, installs, trains, and your core gets absolutely nothing for it. No sales revenue, no commissions, but you get Xerox a pat on the back. And you get to do all this while also having to get your own Xerox equipment out. If you're already short staffed and swamped, this is just more c-ap to pile on. No they won't let you hire extra help for the increase in work. Just do it is what we were told.

We are evidently going to be delivering Lexmark printers for Lexmark. Not sure the details other than that.

We can't even finance ourselves let alone another company. Obviously Lexmark C-Suite people have NOT been watching the news and what is happening to Xerox. Let them all fall into a tar pit and suffocate!!

Lexmark being s—ed in to the xerox black hole! I was wondering which player would be dumb enough to come sniffing around the x carcass prematurely. Lexmark should have kept their distance. They’re about to get a real black olive education.

Lex and X, two glue factory horses trying to get it on, hoping for Secretariat as the outcome.

listened on Project Sedona Thursday. This is a disaster coming fast. Expectations Xerox delivered to Lexmark "24 hour" last mile are ludicrous. They are expecting the truck driver to network install and train. This is laughable. We have delivery schedule in 2 weeks March an received no training yet. News flash, this week coming up is end of month. Xerox leadership is a blunder.

@3nsj+19rWluOd No one on my team even knows the name of an HR rep. GEMS is the biggest waste of time and effort. No one gets promoted, raises or anything. If Xerox wants to save money they should stop paying for that useless software. Go back to writing meaningless reviews on paper, this way they can be filed appropriately: flushed in the toilet.

Xerox should outsource their Human Resources capabilities also. Companies can save an enormous amount of money by depriving their employees of a human being to talk to.

For the older direct guys this reminds me of when we tried to service Dell computers to keep the idle time to a minimum...Except Dell wasn't going to buy us like Lexmark is planning.

Our core has been servicing Lexmark printers for years under our MPS contracts, so that part is not something new unless Lexmark is going to be manufacturing "Xerox" devices once we lost the Fuji partnership (?).

Servicing Lexmark printers. That should go over well because...they don’t have waste toner cartridges?

What? Is there a Xerox and Lexmark merger in the works? And are you implying that our buddy Carl recently boosted his holdings of Xerox (4 million additional shares purchased) because he has "insider" knowledge of a significant announcement BEFORE the general public does and he expects to amass a lucrative gain from this 1 deal?
