Engagement Survey Numbers Might Not Add Up

On the Stay in the Know call from 6/6/24 the Engagement Survey showed the results of the survey with 9k+ people responding. The Intranet post from 6/4/24 says that over 13,500 people responded. Where did the other roughly 30% of the respondents go from 13.5k on 6/4 to 9k on 6/6 and why?

@3lvv+1sXn14PQ Thanks. That’s why I said MIGHT in the post and left it as a question.

I remember seeing the 9k number but they haven’t uploaded a Stay in the Know recording for a couple of months so unless you were taking live notes (which I wasn’t, but thankfully YOU have much greater foresight and intelligence than me) then there’s no way to go back to rewatch it at this point. Everyone appreciates your wisdom and insight. Perhaps you will be the hero we need to save this company.

So 30% of TIAA is in India? I HATE this company.

You obviously weren't paying attention. The presenter RIGHT ON THE CALL showed the data for the company as a whole with the results (whatever the 13k number was), and then said that India inflated the numbers only slightly, and filtered the data to show US only, which was something slightly above 9k. I know because I was sitting there taking notes wanting to see what they were going to say.

I know for a fact they play with the numbers. India inflates metrics.

They need to break down each metric by country ie: United States vs the rest of the world. Speculate that the India offices are pumping up the numbers.

Isn’t it obvious they threw out at least 4,000 surveys that didn’t agree with their desired metrics. Ain’t no way in he-l the percentages are as good as they say

Seems to me that the OP unintentionally found the cause by stumbling into the less than useless, stay in the know session most of us worked bees don’t have time (or desire) to attend.

Who has time to listen to stay in the know calls? You must be one of the many director and higher level folks with no repots and no real work to do. Just bounce between worthless calls/meetings where nothing ever gets done. More power to you I suppose.
