Every major tech company in the US is laying off employees in mass amounts except Siemens? Wow we must be the only profitable company in the US without losses!

@5nva+1lG5u3M3: "More technology = less jobs"

which is why the WEF is looking into population control, i.e., eugenics. Yet this comment also points to the nature of technological advances. This thing called humanity is in a trap. We can't stop the flow of progress. Besides, what are we to do? Go back to Medieval times?

There was a town hall today. There was no indication of any gloom and doom for the company. Yeah sure, all companies do their share of trimming but the doomsday scenario described by the OP is unlikely. I mean, with a "global economic crisis" of the magnitude being suggested here, we're talking about complete financial collapse. At that point, forget Siemens. Forget all companies. We've got bigger problems as we deal with a Mad Max apocalypse scenario.

The US fed will destroy the economy by end of summer. Artificial inflation fueled by incompetent US politicians about to get a 2008 reality check come 2024. Worst administration in the history of the US.

The more technology and platforms siemens Invests in the more jobs will soon become displaced. All this digitalization and technological jargon is the crux to siemens employment demise. Someone in leadership is clearly getting paid off to initiate all this technology blitz by political gain in government or personal financial gain. It’s pathetic and a true testament to the culture

"It’s pretty obvious it’s coming! Just watch the news."

Hilarious! Here in the USA, the media has been saying there is no recession, that the current administration in the White House is handling the economy well.

I was wondering too if the original post was from an article. Guess not. It's just a babble of fear, uncertainty, doubt. I get it layoffs always happens. But like the other poster suggested, Siemens DISW is doing well as a software company.

@5vqw+1lG5u3M3 said, "The hiring is nothing more than entry level and low level management seats."

Well, there's no entry level hiring in my department. we've been hiring senior level people. I'm talking about DISW. This aspect of Siemens is changing with the times so it's been growing with its SaaS development.

The hiring is nothing more than entry level and low level management seats that are designed to cushion the impact for long term management employees and leadership once the recession sets in. Fatten up to cushion the blow!!

from @3klk+1lG5u3M3: "OP, can you please provide the link where you got that info?"

Feel the same way with this previous poster. It's hard to tell if the OP is quoting something or that's just a personal comment.

Meta just dumped 15% of its workforce. Siemens is converting to a tech company thanks to its CEO and leadership team. Layoffs will definitely be coming thanks to them.

This one will be worse than 2008! Most artificial economy and inflated growth in the history of America. This crash will be devastating.
