Attended interview and cleared. Can anyone tell me what is the base salary for a principal engineer role with 22 years of prior experience?

if you can get 270 as base , take it as most were earning 160 -180 pre promotion and may be taken up to 210k , but you are just making yourself as a target. I would bet taking the PE role makes you LR bait in less than two years , enjoy your great decision making!
@3jew+1kPh9y4l,
zscalar pays $400 to $450 for architect role TC, I am the proof.
Bull$h!t. Zscaler pays that in OTE not base.

Looks like Cisco is not going to offer, but I am getting the salary I want to 2 other companies with a DE titles. I also have a startup offer.
Guys,
Market is still good there with all the layoff news around and packages are goo too.You just need to explore. I posted here anonymously as I have zero contacts at Cisco, especially to discuss pay. Thanks to all who responded with info rather commenting.
Engineering? Why aim so low? So apply for a senior HR position. Yea you’ll have to manipulate people for a living but at least you’ll get to meet Oprah.
OP: now that you met your potential co-workers here, are you still sure you want to join Cisco? :P
OP, if you get $190k base from Cisco, consider yourself lucky. Cisco is on a belt-tightening mission. The company is trying to get rid of majority of PAs/Distinguished Engineers/other high-earners individual contributors. Take your "22 years of prior experience" to Google/Amazon/MSFT, they might find you useful. Another point, 22yrs work experience puts you in the over-40s, too old for Cisco. Good luck mate!
Anyone who thinks they are worth $270k/year base salary but decides to ask what kind of offer they might get to an anonymous message board dedicated to people commiserating being laid off...at a time of mass layoffs in the tech industry....is kind of an A-ho-e.
what is the org, grade and location? may be able to look for you
22 years of prior experience can mean just about anything. I have interviewed people whose 20 years of experience can be transferred to someone else in less than a week's worth of time. 270K is pretty high anyway, I very much doubt you're going to get that.
@qma+1kPh9y4l,
As per today's post, it must be $19.5
$19
Thank you all. I asked for a base of 270k, but the recruited is fumbling in responding since then. Bonus and RSUs are separate. In btw, zscalar pays almost same regarding what I asked.
