SK now has a reason to be in.

@4zoq+1rdGeoXy who knows, but the industry has needed a Twitter-like restructuring for years
Why wait until April to restart talks?
@3iwp+1rdGeoXy the near line emphasis is efficiency in existing data centers following a nearly decade + build up; storage will hang around as the commodity it is
Understandable WDC ELT are hyping this non-deal, but Kioxia is better off receiving a couple billion $ from WDCs HDD side each year, than loosing money running WDC SSD buisness.
@1qix+1rdGeoXy, forget AI bandwagon, we are not part of it. That being said, demand for storage will never disappear. If anything, data generated from and for AI will demand more storage. Kioxia and WD produce same exact NAND, there's no need for two companies producing same product family. The merger will be good for investors and disaster for employees.
what is it really going to do? The ‘cloud titans’ are investing in compute, so we merge a flash unit and spin of a drive business, neither of which is riding the has riding the AI wave, yet
blah, blah, blah
I think you forgot to add one more 0 at the end
Here we go again…
