the only thing he invented was the book on how to destroy communities and eventually a company all in the name of executive level greed

And yet "career guy" stayed 20 yrs accepting pay checks from a working environment he hated. Get on your knees and thank Jack for the employment opportunity, your pension, and the higher Social Security payments you'll receive because of your one percenter tax status. You could've stayed at your previous '"career", and continued enjoying the "low life" you were living.

He also invented the culture of Human Resources that were neither human nor cared about resources.

By early 2000, people were too weak to hack it. Those who were strong enough to maintain it are no longer around. Simply put, nobody is up for the job anymore. The common kid who used to grow up working and playing with their hands has now been barely moving their finger tips while fumbling with some handheld device for roughly the past two decades. They aren't cut from the same cloth, they don't come from the same tribe.

Typical HR response :"This method of evaluation worked well for GE because, at the time of its introduction, the company had become too big, and the employees too comfortable." Rather than focusing on motivating people, lets focus on getting rid of them...cause it's too hard to roll up our sleeves and motivate employees. When I came to GE in early 2000, I was excited until I saw how The Jack Welch Era Syndrome was prevalent. Jack created a culture of back stabbing and putting others down in public in order to "look better". It was the most toxic culture I've ever worked in during a 40+ year career. Inhibited true leaders from stepping forward and instead they left. As a result, GE had the toxic culture survivors leading the company and we all see the results they achieve.
