Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Can Someone Please Send Out A List of Who Remains At Chevron?????

I just called a lady that worked in HES/HSE today on the phone and she yelled at me saying she didn't work for the f**ing company anymore. I said I can't believe you still have a Chevron number and she said f– you and hung up. She called me today (Christmas) and said I hope you are having a happy f—ing Christmas. What the hell is going on? Are our customers getting these same types of responses? Why would we let these people keep those numbers?

Back to last week, I called my next number on my HES/HSE list and I got some random guy that just got a new mobile phone number in Houston. What is happening? Do we not have control on these phone numbers?

I need HSE HELP and I don't know who to call!!!!! Can someone please publish a list on who is still here and who is gone? I don't want to get another one of those looser fired HSE employee yell profanities at me again on the phone and especially on Christmas. DP, get control of your organization.

This also the same troller

"We, I am not Phishing, I do work for the company and all of the pages have not been updated. "

The very first thing all eemployees are asked to do is to confirm with the sender bay looking them up and confieming who they are and they sent the email.

So dear "employee" what is you CAI so I can confirm this "if you are as you "claim" to be an employee?

so someone on a layoff site is asking for a list of people at chevron.

Oh wait I was not born yesterday

Not only does this sound fishy, but this is private information and any employee or ex employee is committing a criminal act by doing so and endangering their waiver agreement and disclosure agreements. Hey it could be the company trying to bait someone stupid enough top respond.

Why do most people assume that any msgs on the net are inherently trolling /bogus by default.

Is anyone naive enough to believe the OP is really an Chevron employee jeez, even if they are it's still a litigation/ dismissal type action to divulge said info.

Not bad, @3dru. I just have my phone forward all the calls I don’t pick up after two rings straight to CEO M Wirth number in San Ramon.

I just wised up after getting many calls to my mobile. I updated my outgoing voicemail message to pick up after the first ring and announce “Sorry, the number you have reached has been disconnected”. Over the last week, I’ve noticed a noticeable drop in the number of calls I’m getting.

I am in a totally different group now with a lower PSG position. But people are still calling me for my previous responsibilities and asking me for solutions which I don't have the authority to provide any more. I have given the contacts for new people but these guys are totally silent. Interestingly the new folks are also asking me to train them as they are "learning" the job. Some seems to have little clue what and how things need to be done. While this is all suppose to be hiring the best candidate for the role, it seems something is a miss. But I am keeping my head down, do my job, whether it is training or whatever, while riding it for next couple of years till I am comfortable to leave. Thank the Lord, he has provided enough for me to save for these rainy days.

I am in Midland and my neighbor (who works for a contract company) said they called their normal contact at Chevron and that person spent 5 minutes talking about how Chevron discriminates etc. He said it was very uncomfortable and did not know what to say. Midland is a small town and Chevron is really getting a bad reputation from this last reorg. This is a situation where you really don't know what to do.

I was in the HSE Center Organization and I am still getting several calls each week. I actually got a call from N—ria on the 23rd and spent over an hour with them reviewing a plan they put together for next year.

It is funny that you can setup Teams just as if you were working in Chevron with your personnel email and your Chevron contacts almost just as if you never left. Just send them the link from your email.

For people calling me, I just give them the assistance they need. Sometimes we do a team call. I don't redirect. I don't want to spend the time with them saying I am so sorry, I did not know you were no longer with the company. I am cool if people keep calling me. They will eventually figure it out.

I find a lot of freedom in helping these people with my own ideas instead of the ideas that my boss forced me to follow.

You are too kind, @djv. I was laid off and I know of a few slackers who still have their jobs. If anyone from Chevron calls me on my personal mobile with a business request or question, boy will I have something to tell them that may get the gullible employee or company into a serious bit of trouble.

OP, I was about to attack your comment but I did check the HSE Website and I do see where you can be misdirected to old information. Please go to Org Charts and not the individual information pages. The Org Charts are updated. I will send a note to their Information Management contact today to update.

I have also sent a note to the IM to see if they can handle a few phone forwarding issues. I personally know someone that retired that is still getting calls forwarded from their office phone. Those issues are being working and should be complete soon.

We are moving with limited resources so please be patient while we get all of these databases updated. We have a lot of great people that were let go and the emotions are still very tender. If you end up calling someone by mistake, try your best to be kind. Just know they are hurting and will heal as time passes.

Thanks,

We, I am not Phishing, I do work for the company and all of the pages have not been updated. I am looking at an HSE page right now that shows everyone from a year ago. I do see where the new org is now that I have had to look around for it. I would expect for the phone numbers to follow the job and not the person. Also, it looks as if some of the office phone numbers are still forwarded to terminated employee mobile phones and home phones.

FINALLY, I OUR CUSTOMERS DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE ORG CHARTS. How can they find the new names of people? Why are people on here so mean. I hope these are not some of the people I am still working with now.

Sounds they forgot to get rid of you OP! Anyone can check the new org and the new people, if you have no ability to find that your career with Chevron and any other company should come to an end right now. Although this seems more of phishing attempt and a big troll.

Most workers at Chevron have their own personal mobile phone and make the mistake of adding that mobile number to the Chevron Whitepages, which makes its way into all the published phone lists. Since Chevron did away years ago with the majority of employee mobile phones to save money, the result is obvious. Many mobile numbers still proliferate the phone lists, while many employees have been laid off. I for one, always carried a personal smartphone, but never published it to Whitepages. Why would I if the company didn’t pay by phone bill. After work hours, just leave a voicemail message on my desk phone. “Get back to ya the next workday, suc*ker”.
