Most companies are worried about the great resignation and frantically looking for ways to keep the best talent but not us. Nope. This leadership is overjoyed that people are leaving and not forcing them to pay them severance. This works perfectly for them. They plan to lay most of us old-timers off anyhow. The more of us walk, the more money remains for them. I don't plan to give them that satisfaction. I'll stay here till the bitter end.

What resignation? And you really lost me here: "They plan to lay most of us old-timers off anyhow."
NetApp had a pretty big layoff during the height of the pandemic. That how much they love their employees.
Keep in mind there is no PS anymore everyone was outsourced to CGI except for a few select residents. Now there are layers of red tape between Netapp and CGI for ps people to jump through so no agility anymore.

I experiment different role in many companies (NetApp included). I think PS is the worst position in a IT company and in other company in general, great to understand technology but no way for career growth as there are no technical pathways except if you're becoming a manager and be a good soldier.
Moreover, all activites need to be traced in the company tools as you're considered as a cost center, I never get compensated to the dedication and time you spend on the nonsense architecture people have sold in term of money. The only good aspect is the technical knowledge you acquire in that position.

NetApp PS is a toxic sh!t show! PS Managers have no interest in being leaders and hold zero leadership skills. They only care about ba----g their own chest and pushing their twisted agendas.
Not in touch with account teams or the accounts customers. It’s always me,me,me or I,I,I. They have no interest in lifting anyone up but them selves. Sad really. Run as fast as you can and don’t look back. It’s way better outside of NetApp than you think.
I don't think this could be a long term healthy position, if you feel uncomfortable...
Am I missing something? Not too many people resigned. There were some that retired, however there was no “great resignation.” I think Netapp pays well and has good benefits in comparison to the companies that lost and can’t regain cheap workers. This isn’t burger king…on average people are paid 6 figures and some near 1/4 million per year.
We're happy to hear that. Your bright personality is the highlight of our day.
