Congratulations to @1lqk for his id--t of the week award. As of July 1st Rivian employs 2000 in BloNo with potential to go to 5000. The Samsung plant also has the potential to employ 5000. Enjoy Hicksville IA.
Face the facts. Blono is on a slow but increasing descent. Aint gonna happen. Yes rivian is there because they were practically given a plant. Watch as ft worth picks up the high coller jobs and they make less and less there. Start looking at decatur and start counting the dollar general stores moving in.
@1lqk before making declarative statements you may want to use the Google Machine. It will help you look less stupid. Rivian already has their factory in Normal, Samsung is their battery supplier. They have more than 5 employees at Rivian.

The main customer for this plant is right here and nobody does back door deals like the state of IL
Yea right, what are you smoking junior, no company and I mean NO COMPANY is ever going to locate a factory of any significant size (more than 5 employees ) to the worst shtt show tax you out of business can only get significantly worse state in the union , hint for you lefties- Illinois. Wait until license plate renewals reach $1800 a year and they add another dollar a gallon gas tax, then raise the state personal income tax, this is just a start and won’t do a thing to solve the states problems. By the way, I’m illinois born and raised, now happily living across the river in iowa.
