Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

My manager is full of BS

Seems to be common at UP. Must be a requirement for getting promoted. Wonder if they teach that in the UP way training classes.

The saddest thing is a lot of the union employees are no better or worse. Most cannot get a job somewhere else or they would have done do already. There is plenty of stupidity and laziness to go around, both in management and union employment.

I had to tie my manager’s shoes the other day. I suggested he get velcro shoes, but then I had to explain to him what velcro shoes are. I also packed his lunch and arranged his ride home. I’m a team player.

I've asked over and over what the requirements are for becoming a manager?

Question if the year!

  1. Graduate low in your class (or University of Phoenix will do...any GPA)
  2. Do not care about the feelings of your subordinates.
  3. Show incompetence
  4. Brown-nose with your higher-ups
  5. Be able and willing to corral less fortunate individuals as local leaders
  6. Suck-up to union reps
  7. Possess the ability to sc--w everything up

This is a short list of a great Union Pacific manager.

I've asked over and over what the requirements are for becoming a manager. The sad part is that not a single manager that I asked that to could actually give an answer to it! Shouldn't they know the answer to that since they're a manager?
