Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Why isn't everybody looking for a new job?

The only thing you can expect from Belk at this point is layoffs and closings. I don't think there's a single positive thing in the company's future. The only smart thing to do is try and find a new job while you are still employed. Looking for a job when you are unemployed - and that's coming, inevitably - is ten times harder.

@op+1. Thanks for the reality check. You are so right. I have almost left belk many times but every time I get close they either give me a new position or a nice raise but the time is here to leave. I'm actually really excited about it. I hear that there are jobs out there where people are actually treated decent.

@2xbk. You are so right. And what's worst is they don't care. It's all about a cash grab for Sycamore. @1pg. You are so correct also. It's nice to see that somebody sees the truth.

Belk is known as a toxic workplace
That’s why they can’t hire and retain talent from store level to corporate level

Belk is doing everything in its power to trick and mislead employees and customers into thinking everything is fine, but anyone who has any common sense can see the company is struggling. Most private equity owned companies don’t tell employees the company is near collapse until the very end and that is exactly what will happen with belk
