Does anyone have any information on employees done on the 25th?
It’s getting so frustrating not knowing anything, when will this packet show up?
What’s stopping these employees from stealing merchandise or sabotaging a store operations.

My last day was January 8. We got a email that severance was delayed. I thought they were going to cancel severance. 2 weeks later it was in my account. We got 10 weeks. They sent 2 managers to other stores thinking they still had jobs. Month later, that store announced closing. I found a new job in a week. 25 y veteran
Wave 4 closing store. Just informed that it’s $750 for dept sups with keys and no additional pay for part timers who stay until the store closes. We don’t have any salary managers here so I wasn’t told what their retention bonus would be.
Well my DM has not worked up the courage to tell me about the 2,000 retention bonus because he knows I will laugh my azz off. 2,000 taxed at 37% = 1,260 or $60 per year of service. As soon as I have an offer I will drop keys and take the good associates with me if I can. This company is the most toxic group of clowns I have ever seen. I kick myself every day I come into this train wreck, that I did not leave 2 years ago when it was obvious these people had no idea Wtf they were doing. Oh well got a bunch of interviews lined up and I hope everyone else is doing the same.
I'm not even from California and a simple google search shows me there is no law lol. Sounds like you are clinging to hope and not facts.

We were told severance in CA. It’s the law, plus they have to pay out all vacation pay accrued. The law!
if that’s true, i don’t know why anyone would stay; i was a full time receiving/rtv/everything backroom laid off in august, and my severance was more then that SM retention bonus….i worked hard and did a lot but i shouldn’t have gotten more then an SM, and the 750 for mgr’s is laughable….i truly hope that’s not true for the ones left

@2vgy. You're kidding right? Either that or you are totally gullible. There is no California Severance Law. Never has been. Severance is at the will of the employer.
What part of you are getting no severance don’t you understand.
A quick google search will tell you there is no law for severance pay in California. Nice try on the lie. Like if you worked 10 years you’d really get 30 weeks based off your stupid 3 weeks pay for each year. Smh
We were told Saturday to expect three weeks pay for each year of service. This is in California which has special laws for severance

If you are still working you won’t get any information until the actual termination but it’s not a huge amount as it is withheld closer to 37%. You concern shoukd be looking gif a new job to get health benefits. Your priorities need to get aligned
Corporate employees who are laid off last week got eight weeks.
When I was let go in august I was told that day how much severance time I would get. Of course I had the option to work the rest of the week. But I knew that day what was being offered. At that time I got 10 weeks. Good luck to you all! Much better things ahead of you once you get out!
Corporate employees laid off a week ago told me they received no severance package, either. The ones laid off prior to that received full severance.
Unfortunately there is nothing to give. Wave 3 & 4 will get nothing. All full timers that were laid off in stores last week got nothing and most had been employees with company over 10 years. So sad, the decline of this company and how it can’t even take care of its loyal employees. So sorry. Take care.

What wave are you? If you are 2 they still offered severance. You will not get the email until after your separation. If you are 3 you will not get severance. But do not worry the people in charge will get theirs.
My guess is they’re not saying anything, because they know we’re not getting anything.
