When’s the last time you received above a 3% in the same role?

Every year!
What happened is that they took the cost of Covid leaves out of the salaries budget overall. It’s just downright sad.
I have to believe any covid costs are offsets by the savings in T&E. No travel, no customer meetings, virtual AOPs...think of how much we saved. That should be plowed back into covid costs and raises. It was a sh–ty year, but everyone worked harder and performance was off the chart. Unless the old saying, the harder you work, the less you get rewarded is true.
I seriously believe that the reason they cannot give higher raises this year is because Covid quarantine leaves and other long term leaves are costing this company a damn fortune and it’s said that we are paying people (even new hires) for 10-14 days at 100% pay up to 3 times or also we have people sitting out for 6 months getting paid 2/3 because they can’t be around Covid.
I have had above average raises in the last 6 years; and i know it is far from normal. But i also have been #1 in my zone 4/6 and top 3 the other 2 years. I have seen several 5-5.5’s. As high as 6 with a low of 1.5 in 2015. I do a ton of “extra” work outside of my role. And sustained this across 3 different managers too.
We are all so impressed with the Merchandiser who made it up to PSR. What a joke.
@2uto+192ZsB2o It is so nice that your mommy raised your allowance 10% every year. I guess working at throwing tantrums is hard work.
It’s the culture at PepsiCo. I interviewed at General Mills and was told by HR and the hiring manager that they reward experience. They also realize not everyone is able to relocate. It was common sense, but opposite of everything PepsiCo has indoctrinated us to believe. At Pepsi, subpar raises with false excuses and paid below market value with double the workload at other companies.
To: @2uto+192ZsB2o Sounds like a bunch of lies.
Lies. 10 percent raises? My arse. I been here over 35 years and last time i got 3 percent was in 2010. Even had one year where they froze raises and there was none. If you get 2 percent then you are supposed to feel good.
Whoever said you got a 10% raise and expecting the same this year is full of sh–. The only way you are getting that is if you move a few levels up into a new role. Stop spreading lies.
I got a 10% raise last year and I am expecting the same or more this year. I never had less than a 10% raise. There is lots of money for raises, you just have to work for it
I guess the soaring stock prices didn't give them enough to treat their employees fairly.
They’ll blame Covid for it all.
I just read salary increase budgets will be down for most companies for the first time in 12 years.
Average wage increase in 2020 was 3.3%. Will most likely be in the high 2%. These are average wage increases. We all know we have received much less than the average increase for many years.
Even by promotion, or relocation, PepsiCo will take advantage.
Havent received a 3 plus raise in at least 12 years.
Don't look for anything wonderful this year. 1% max. Doesn't cover increased benefits cost or cost of living.
What the hell jargon is sharpen your saw and tool box c-ap.
Jumping between employers has been a fast track to higher wages for a century. If you don't want to take advantage of that, that's on you. Lifetime employment from cradle to grave is long gone even for Boomers.
One should not have to relocate or take a different job to get an honest raise.
