Speaking as someone who has been in the APM industry for 16 years, AppD is very much alive and kicking.

Fair enough it went through a year or two of uncertainty, but it has one of the strongest offerings out there.

@2uop+1lvUMDXO You’re just trolling, right? AppD used to be a laughing stock of the industry. Now no one even knows what it is.

Who would buy AppD? More people than ever. I understand the jealousy across other parts of Cisco due to the AppD comp - but it's more relevant and impactful in large, complex customers than ever.

Much easier to be negative though, of course.

It was one of the best performing architectures in Q3 - yes it has had some GTM issues but it's main struggle is that Cisco has bee trying to manage it like a hardware business. Most of Cisco don't know how to run an ARR business.

AppD is so yesterday. The new shiny technology is Thousand Eyes. Mr customer, what are you doing for your FSO strategy?

@fog+1lvUMDXO yes but also the acquired companies and products were cr-p to start with. We couldn’t get the better options to join us so we settled.

bring up APP D in a sales call, good way to not be invited again, its a dirty word that no one speaks of since it is a horrible overpriced product that doesnt work. We know it, customer knows it, and you are performing career su----e by suggesting it.

Almost everything Cisco has acquired in the last ten years, with very few exceptions, has crashed and burned. Cisco red tape, complexity, quality issues and licensing strangles it to death.

Who would buy it? It's about 7 years behind the market leaders.
