It’s an open secret that if you report any issues to HR they mark to your record and eventually fire you for being problematic. There is a lack of HR presence at our site and there are loud racists and people that have been complained about for s-xual harassment multiple times. Now add on the layoffs and you get a truely toxic workplace.

Report issues to HR? Are you a child?
Signing paperwork to get severance happens everywhere! Do you expect companies to hand out $$ and still get sued?
They get away with the age layoff of being 40 plus years , by having everyone sign their layoff paperwork saying they won't Sue for age discrimination. Then they get their settlement money.
I was in an HR investigation into leadership (I did not start the investigation, btw, but was pulled into it as part of the department being investigated). I told the truth and found myself on the layoff list and laid off. Plus, it's well known that if you are 40+ in age, you are on the layoff radar. Not sure how they haven't had some kind of class action suit over this, but somehow they keep getting away with it. I should have sued them, but just wanted to take the package and get out to maintain my sanity.
But think about the shareholders!!!!
It's not IF you get laid off at Medtronic, but WHEN. You will be eventually sacrificed to the Executive Bonus gods. Don't ever get too comfortable. Good luck!
Employees always mistake the role of HR. It is NOT to advocate/help employees, it is to use process controls to support their boss (CEO) and get bonuses themselves. Once you know this, things make much more sense.
This is true. HR will just mark you as a complainer and it will make it easier to RIF.
Never open a case/ complaint, by the end of the process, they will fire you..
IT HR?! LOL!!!
You should hear how people talk about them when they are not in the meeting.
No one in IT trusts them.
They are even smiling in meetings where the leader is shaming, humiliating and bullying team members,
They are fake and liars.
The ones that were good and even raised a VoC against IT leader, are laid off!

MDT doesnt have a corrupt HR but a lame HR, always been the case. They act as rubber stamps for Sr. mgmt. Try to bring up a complain against sr. mgmt, you are done forever.
If you need to report something, you have to do it via the Ethics and Compliance Hotline. It will either address the issue or you will get a package to leave and sign an NDA.
What local HR? , got a ERG question or OHS concern awesome ,,,, else call Ask HR hotline IMHO
Did anyone see that video a former HR employee posted on LinkedIn about him being terminated after he complained about his boss harassing him for being g-y? I can’t remember what his name was or if it’s even still posted. It was about 1-2 months ago.
Employee reyalso work for MDT. They feliver a recommybut the head in HR devides what to do.
ER is to manage a situation so it doesn’t become a lawsuit.
Don’t.Trust.Them! They talk a good talk, but that is it!
Talk to Employee Relations people…they will have to do something once you complain.
Remember, HR works for Medtronic not you.
