I heard a rumor that there might be more to the train station story than just a building. It was, after all, a train station. And did you know that there is a train tunnel that goes between Windsor and Detroit and is competition to the bridge for freight? What I heard is that the train tunnel from Windsor goes through that train station.

So BF opinion means nothing. until he has accomplished something he needs to shut up. Name on the building does not mean he knows what he is doing. That is pretty clearly demonstrated by the family.

Correction to what you mentioned, BF said the current leadership is the best the company has had in its entire history (not just during BF's time with the company).
I agree, and BF wouldn't trust a company transformation of this level (the Ford+ Plan) without having the best possible team to do it.

Did you ever stop to thing that DF left on his own accord? That he achieved his goals at each company and wanted a new challenge?
The shape Ford was in when he came to Ford was not optimum, but all the more challenge for Doug Field to bring it back to prosperity. The proof is in the pudding, look at the Model e successes and all the positive press coming from it.

If he was so valuable as you say he is. Then answer why did those companies let him go? Their pockets are much deeper than Ford. They figured this guy out long ago.
I expect that after the beginning of the year DF will decide to spend more time with family.
