Sorry for you if it's true that you have been exposed.
BUT, as a Lowe's manager, you're the true definition of what everyone is complaining about: sad that you have been exposed and you don't want to expose the virus to your asthmatic child and your elderly parents, but why in the world do you want to keep on working? The lives of your employees and colleagues matter as much as those of your family members. Stay away from the store, jeez. You need to quarantine, and I hope that you'll also change your selfish values and treat others the same way you treat your family. God bless you!

I just got informed from the health department that I was exposed. I'm a manager. I really can't take this home to my family. Kid with asthma. Parents older than 70. Should I just get a room somewhere and keep going to work?

Honestly, you should be grateful to have hours and a job. Lots of people are being laid off and your complaining. If you are so disgusted and unhappy at Lowe’s leave or use your sick hours. Complaining about it doesn’t change the fact that you are still collecting a check from such a disgusting company.

Who the h*ll appointed you as the person to deem what is essential and what is not? Do us all a favor and turn in your resignation.

The answer of you are lucky you have a job is exactly why I quit Lowe’s. My current company had 1 covid 19 case at a call center and the entire call center was closed. They decontaminated and our CEO is having thousands of employees work remotely. The calls are being routed to their homes so they can work.

My company is also classified as essential. They have no shareholders though. They are in all 50 states. I’m on the front lines and a fortune 5 Vice President called just to see how my family is doing.

I’m disgusted that I worked at Lowe’s. I do respect all retail workers. If Marvin and his crew were real humans they’d donate their salaries and bonuses to front line workers until this is over.

I’d put money they are hiding in isolation with their families.

Given the situation with the economy and a lot of the current workforce, some of you guys and girls simply don’t appreciate how good you have it. The fact that Lowe’s will remain open and is deemed essential by uncle sam will basically allow all of you to maintain your jobs, income, and keep your homes. Many other people will NOT. Be thankful that you have jobs to go to and view this as helping people in your community. Is there some risk involved? Of course there is. But social distancing alone will eliminate most of it and remember, we all take other risks every day of our lives and think nothing of it. Every decision we make in life is made by risk/benefit ratio.

If you people had been around during WW II we would all be speaking German now. Good grief—I’ve never seen so much whining and handwringing in my life. Even in a crisis people are still going to go on with their lives and try to enjoy as much normalcy as possible. But if you really think it’s that bad then my goodness just quit. Lowe’s will find a replacement for you.

Lowes in Pineville, NC has a 15x15 break room located next to the Men’s room. Employees elbow to elbow eating! Managers riding staff (store is under staffed) pushing folks to the limit. Store has an employee on oxygen who should be told to stay home (with pay) for his own safety.

Had to be 2000 people in and out of Lowes, Pineville location yesterday. Lawn and Garden doing record numbers. Store hasn’t had TP or hand sanitizers or wipes in 10 days...so how is Lowes essential? Absentee store manager and Most ASM don’t give a sh– about employee safety, only doing big numbers. This is Carvin Marvin’s home store.

Every time a customer asks you a question, just respond with "during a pandemic?". At this point shame may be the only thing that would work for them. Obviously it hasn't gotten us anywhere with corporate...

I would shut down non-essential departments like paint, home decor, cabinets, flooring, millwork, and ISLG/OSLG and transfer those employees to essential departments. Want paint? Sorry no one is there, want window treatments? Sorry no one is there, mulch or grill? Sorry no one is there.

As sad as it sounds, we as employees need to report our own stores to local media and authorities. Here in Ohio, "Stay At Home" order is in place. Store Managers or ASM's need to be at the front door screening "customers." If they need a refrigerator, or a hot water tank, or toilet, or any other "essential" item, c'mon in. If you're here to look at paint samples, see what we have to offer in kitchen cabinets, or are thinking about getting some new carpet, then they need to be told to go home.

At this point it should be work at your own risk. I get that there are emergency items that people may need. But employees are risking themselves and their families by having to go in every day if they do not meet basic criteria for a leave of absence. You do not know employees home situations or mental state during these circumstances. Stores should be open for emergency needs only, and headcount inside needs to be limited to state/government regulations or they need to be force closed, all retailers that have deemed themselves essential because they sell toilet paper!

The post below is exactly how lowe’s should be handling this situation. Block off the store. Either pull orders for people that have ordered on line or screen customers for their needs. Limit the store to maybe 50 customers at a time.

If Best Buy can sell video conferencing gear, and appliances on line and only pull orders HD and Lowe’s can do that for appliances. Plumbing, sure bring the person for the necessary part, no hanging around looking at the paint chips, or tool boxes. Need a pipe wrench? No problem, need roofing patch no problem. Wanna look at lawn furniture?... nope, need to buy tile? Nope, new curtains? Nope.

Carvin Marvin and crew should be held liable if any Covid cases trace to their stores. Call osha, your congressman, mayor, governor.

First, I sincerely thank all the Lowe's employees who showed up to work. This is how your stores being open, and your service and dedication made a difference for me and my family. Our incoming supply water line burst, and only Lowe's had the items necessary for me to make that critical repair. Water is a necessity for us

I agree that the stores shouldn't be staffed at the "full" level, but with just enough people to staff the Self Checkout lanes and to pull something from the back if necessary

Thank you again...you made a difference in our lives

Nothing at lowes is essential right now. At anytime there are at least 100 people in the store whether its employees or customers...Lowe's only cares about profits and stealing Home Depots customers. If you're buying a ton of paint right now to repaint your house something is wrong and you have no idea what is going on in the world.
