Good employees are leaving

There are some rumors about layoffs, however, many people are leaving on their own. Even those who may not have intended to leave any time soon, they are being forced to do so because they are increasingly overwhelmed. I really don't know how much longer it can go on like this!? GF has become one big mess.

Day by day employees continue to lose confidence in GF's leadership team. Day by day more good employees are leaving. This trend will continue until GF cleans house within the leadership team and presses the reset button to try again with a new strategy. Why would anyone think GF would be successful when one of your main folks in strategy BU came from IBM and only knows microprocessors but nothing about other technologies but yet is setting the technology strategy for the company, what a joke and we all see the results of this strategy!!

Globalfoundries likes to pi-s into the wind and tell us it’s rain. They expect us to eat sh-t and smile and like it and thank them and ask for some more. We can blame TC and all the higher up leaders but really it’s at the immediate managerial levels where most of the bureaucratic nonsense comes from with our managers hidden agendas and favorites.

Globalfoundries has dark future, thanks to TC, and his incompetent team. Now TC is blaming IBM who in fact is helping remaining talent left in GF. Why TC and GF bother about last batch of talent that went to IBM as there was no place left for them. It is clear that you need to have political connection, be highly incompetent, belong to preferred category, to survive in GF. Who the he-l will stay in this toxic, racist and mess? Unless he has some special needs or obligation such as kids in senior high school etc.
🛑 STOP detracting employees using these litigation techniques!!!! YOU ARE EXPOSED BIG.

Most of the true talent left 2-4 years ago. Dozens of various subject matter experts gone. It was like wave after wave of the best disappearing. For a time it seemed like every week a new name would announce their departure. They saw what was really happening and how their talents and work were getting overlooked by the corrupt insider GF politics and agendas.

Pretty evident that the experience and talent have either been laid off or left a long time ago. What are we left with? Cheap seats and people who are afraid to leave.

IBM is not poaching people. They don't have to at all. There are enough people at GF who know former colleagues at IBM and are reaching out to them and it's also not difficult to find the many jobs IBM Albany has posted. Any GF Malta person that wants to stay in semiconductors and in the Albany region have basically 3 choices (other than remote) -- IBM, AMAT and TEL. GF is doing a great job all on its own to lay off or otherwise drive out good talent through lack of tangible appreciation -- competitive pay, promotions, etc and the GF CEO Award ain't cutting it.

IBM is focused on 2nm development and GF has nothing to bring to the table to make for any meaningful cooperation not to mention the major animosity that has been created with these lawsuits.

No one wants to stay in GF and wait to get laid off in next cycle. This is real mess in GF. INM taking all key remaining GF employees is a good opportunity I think. GF is soon going to die it’s own death thanks to cr-p leadership and all incompetents and rejects filling manager and director roles.

Everyone should go out and at least get another offer and if nothing else make GF pay to keep you, it is the only way to get a real raise at GF. Of course if the offer is attractive take it. Either way play the get and offer and match game, many are doing it right now and GF is trying to match in many cases. Make them pay you what you are worth.

Ever since GF went public the cost slashing started and has continued with no end in sight. GF really needs to clean house at the top and get people in CEO, CTO, SVP and VP positions who are innovative and make GF a "differentiated foundry". The current leadership is technically braindead and more and more top positions are being filled with skirts who are TC's play toys instead of filling slots with the most technically qualified. SVPs and VPs sleeping with employees and inappropriately touching other employees starts right at the top with the CEO's culture. If you look good in a skirt, you get a special job created to boost minority populations in exec positions!! Time to clean things up here at GF including the ethics group who seem to let all this stuff go on, if you are above a certain level the rules and code of conduct don't apply!!

I had thought after they laid us off, things might turn around for GlobalFoundries. With the cost savings and restructuring and all. Guess it’s the same cr-p but only worse. Those who are still clinging to their jobs are just as miserable and uncertain. Do more with less and less. There’s another world outside of GF.. Open a window, take a peek outside and grab some fresh air.GF doesn’t care about you… Why give your energy and life to them? 🤷‍♂️

And GF is suing IBM for poaching employees....GF is doing a damn fine job driving away and letting good talent go all on its own. Hey GF ..... it's called At Will Employment and karma.

GF is blaming IBM for its own cr-ppy treatment of its workforce. That's rich, Tom.
