I don't see any need for layoffs any time soon. We're losing more than enough employees through attrition.

Actually I am seeing an uptick around me in last 2 weeks….
Also big retirement wave coming in July…. I know of 5 (important) people retiring on 7/30. A lot of experience and knowledge will be leaving with them and we really do not have replacements or people of the same caliber of expertise qued up and trained to replace them. Going to be interesting time.
What is the actually attrition rate? Looks like better than last year, I see less people leave now or could be worse than last year?
Industry veteran engineers and techs leave, NCGs and techs who’ve never swung a wrench before come in. Happens to some extent every year but this is the worst I’ve ever seen.
GF is a last option for employment. It Doesn’t attract the best of the best.
And the thing is they know this!
They know they can treat employees like sh-t or act like we should be grateful for them employing us.
It’s compensation is beneath industry average. GF has an industry wide bad reputation for lying and mismanagement.
Look bottom line …. If you want a prosperous Career don’t end up at GF. Spread the word.
People got spoiled by remote work during the pandemic, they're finding 100% remote jobs. No need to move.
Is there a attrition, no way, people are relocating due to family reasons and COVID other than that we are good 👍
Don’t you like the mid cycle salary increase and the D&I culture no other please is as proactive as us.
And sadly, we're not replacing them with the best and the brightest. It probably would be better to run on a skeleton crew.
We might actually have to step up hiring soon if they expect to see work get done.
